We who are Jews by birth and not“ Gentile sinners”

我们这生来的犹太人，不是外邦的罪人；

我们生来就是犹太人，不是外邦罪人；

我们生来就是犹太人，不是外邦罪人；

我们生来是犹太人，不是外族罪人，

我们生来是犹太人，不是外族中的罪人；

我们生来是犹太人，不是“外邦中的罪人”，

我們生來就是猶太人，不是外邦罪人；

我們生來就是猶太人，不是外邦罪人；

我們生來是猶太人，不是外族罪人，

我們生來是猶太人，不是外族中的罪人；

我們這生來是猶太人、而不是屬於外國之「罪人」的，

我們生來是猶太人，不是「外邦中的罪人」，

夫我儕本猶太人、非異邦罪人、

我儕本猶太人、非異邦罪人、

我儕本猶太人、非異邦罪人、

吾人為猶太人、而非外邦之罪人、固矣；

We are Jews by birth. We are not sinful Gentiles.

We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners;

“ You and I are Jews by birth, not‘ sinners’ like the Gentiles.

We are Jews by birth and not“ Gentile sinners,”

“ We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles;

We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

We being Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

We[ who are] Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

We are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners,

“ We, being Jews by nature, and not Gentile sinners,

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.

We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.

So then, remember that at one time you were Gentiles in the flesh— called“ the uncircumcised” by those called“ the circumcised,” which is done in the flesh by human hands.At that time you were without the Messiah, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.

What then? Are we any better? Not at all! For we have previously charged that both Jews and Gentiles are all under sin,

When he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to the place of his baptism, he said to them,“ Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance.And don’t presume to say to yourselves,‘ We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones!

although I once also had confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he has grounds for confidence in the flesh, I have more:

“ Then He said to me,‘ Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

“ Our father is Abraham!” they replied.“ If you were Abraham’s children,” Jesus told them,“ you would do what Abraham did.But now you are trying to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do this!You’re doing what your father does.”“ We weren’t born of sexual immorality,” they said.“ We have one Father— God.”

Now the woman was Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to drive the demon out of her daughter.He said to her,“ Allow the children to be satisfied first, because it isn’t right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”But she replied to Him,“ Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”

When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples,“ Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

and then sent you on a mission and said:‘ Go and completely destroy the sinful Amalekites. Fight against them until you have annihilated them.’

This is why the promise is by faith, so that it may be according to grace, to guarantee it to all the descendants— not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of Abraham’s faith. He is the father of us all
