They have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, and have mingled the holy race with the peoples around them. And the leaders and officials have led the way in this unfaithfulness.”

The men of Israel have married the daughters of some of those people. They’ve also taken some of those women for their sons to marry. So they’ve mixed our holy nation with the nations around us. We leaders and officials have also married women who don’t worship the Lord. By doing this, we have led the way in breaking our covenant with the Lord.”

For they have taken some of their daughters to be wives for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy race has mixed itself with the peoples of the lands. And in this faithlessness the hand of the officials and chief men has been foremost.”

For the men of Israel have married women from these people and have taken them as wives for their sons. So the holy race has become polluted by these mixed marriages. Worse yet, the leaders and officials have led the way in this outrage.”

那些日子我也見了猶大人娶亞實突、亞捫、摩押的女子為妻。他們的兒女有一半說着亞實突語，不曉得說猶大語；所說的是照一族一族的方言。

你們要歸我做祭司之國，做聖別之邦」：這些話是你所應當對以色列人說的。』

『永恆主你的上帝領你進入你正要去而取得為業之地，從你面前肅清了許多國的人、就是赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人、七國的人，都比你多、比你強；永恆主你的上帝將他們交在你面前去擊敗的時候，你務要把他們都盡行殺滅歸神；不可和他們立約，也不可恩待他們。不可和他們結親；不可將你的女兒嫁給他們的兒子，也不可使你的兒子娶他們的女兒。因為他會使你的兒子偏離、而不跟從我，反而去事奉別的神，以致永恆主向你們發怒，而迅速消滅你們。

『你們要做奉獻為聖、屬我的人；故此在田野間被野獸撕裂的肉、你們都不可喫；要丟給狗。

因為你是聖別的子民、屬永恆主你的上帝的；從這土地上的萬族民中、永恆主揀選了你屬於他、做他自己的子民。

別跟不信者異類同軛相配偶了：義和不法怎能合夥呢？光對暗有甚麼團契呢？

在祭司的子孫中、娶外籍女人為妻被查出的：耶書亞的子孫中有約薩達的兒子和他的弟兄瑪西雅、以利以謝、雅立、基大利。他們便舉手起誓要將他們的妻子離出去；他們的解罪責祭牲、是一隻公綿羊來解除他們的罪責。音麥的子孫中有哈拿尼、西巴第雅。哈琳的子孫中有瑪西雅、以利雅、示瑪雅、耶歇、烏西雅。巴施戶珥的子孫中有以利約乃、瑪西雅、以實瑪利、拿坦業、約撒拔、以利亞撒。利未人中有約撒拔、示每、基拉雅（就是基利他）、還有毘他希雅、猶大、以利以謝。歌唱人之中有以利亞實。守門人之中有沙龍、提聯、烏利。屬以色列人的、巴錄的子孫中有拉米、耶西雅、瑪基雅、米雅民、以利亞撒、哈沙比雅、比拿雅。以攔的子孫中有瑪他尼、撒迦利亞、耶歇、押底、耶利末、以利雅。薩土的子孫中有以利約乃、以利亞實、瑪他尼、耶利末、撒拔、亞西撒。比拜的子孫中有約哈難、哈拿尼雅、薩拜、亞勒。巴尼的子孫中有米書蘭、瑪鹿、亞大雅、雅述、示押，耶利米。巴哈摩押的子孫中有阿底拿、基拉、比拿雅、瑪西雅、瑪他尼、比撒列、賓內、瑪拿西。哈琳的子孫中有以利以謝、伊示雅、瑪基雅、示瑪雅、西緬，便雅憫、瑪鹿、示瑪利雅。哈順的子孫中有瑪特乃、瑪達他、撒拔、以利法列、耶利買、瑪拿西、示每。巴尼的子孫中有瑪玳、暗蘭、烏益、比拿雅、比底雅、基祿、瓦尼雅、米利末、以利亞實、瑪他尼、瑪特乃、雅掃。賓內的子孫中有示每、示利米雅、拿單、亞大雅、瑪拿底拜、沙賽、沙賴、亞薩利、示利米雅、示瑪利雅、沙龍、亞瑪利雅、約瑟。尼波的子孫中有耶利、瑪他提雅、撒拔、西比拿、雅玳、約珥、比拿雅。這些人都娶了外籍女人為妻；但是他們都把妻子和兒女打發走。

『因為你是聖別的子民、屬永恆主你的上帝的；從這地上萬族之民中、永恆主你的上帝是揀選了你屬於他做自己的子民。

猶大人不忠實，遂致在以色列和耶路撒冷之中行了可厭惡的事；因為猶大人褻瀆了永恆主之聖別、就是永恆主所喜愛的，去娶事奉外人之神的女子為妻。

屬以攔的子孫、耶歇的兒子示迦尼應時對以斯拉說：『我們娶此地別族之民的外籍女人為妻，對我們的上帝不忠實了；但現在呢、對於這事以色列人還是有希望。

一個還剩有靈性的人是不會這樣行的。那一個是誰？就是一個尋求屬神之種的啊。故此要謹守你們的靈性，不可對你幼年所娶的妻不忠實。

眾民聽見了這律法，就使一切雜族眾人跟以色列人分開。這事以前、祭司以利亞實、受派於我們的上帝之殿的貯藏室作事的、因為和多比雅很接近，

就使境內的人還有十分之一，他們也必再被消滅。但是像篤耨香樹或橡樹，雖被砍下，仍有樹𣎴子在那裏：』這樹𣎴子、乃是聖的苗裔。

因為不信主的男人因着妻子就聖別了；不信主的婦人因着弟兄也聖別了。不然，你們的兒女就不潔淨了；其實卻是聖潔的。

我就譴責猶大顯貴的人，對他們說：『你們行的這壞事到底是甚麼事，竟瀆犯這安息之日啊？

神子們看見人類的女子俊美，就隨意揀選娶為妻子。

大祭司以利亞實的孫子耶何耶大的一個兒子是和倫人參巴拉的女婿；我就把他趕出我這裏。
