這些事作完了，眾首領前來見我，說：『以色列民和祭司跟利未人並沒有從四圍各地別族之民中分別出來，反而仿照他們可憎惡的事去行，像迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩利人所行的。

这事做完了，众首领来见我，说：“以色列民和祭司并利未人，没有离绝迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亚扪人、摩押人、埃及人、亚摩利人，仍效法这些国的民，行可憎的事。

这些事完成以后，众领袖来接近我，说：“以色列百姓、祭司和利未人没有弃绝迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亚扪人、摩押人、埃及人和亚摩利人等列邦民族所行可憎的事。

这些事以后，众首领来告诉我说：“以色列民众、祭司和利未人还没有与当地各族分开，他们仍随从迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亚扪人、摩押人、埃及人和亚摩利人的可憎行为。

“完成这些事以后，众领袖前来见我，说：‘以色列民、祭司和利未人没有从当地的民族中分别出来，他们随从迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亚扪人、摩押人、埃及人和亚摩利人行可憎的事。

這事做完了，眾首領來見我，說：「以色列民和祭司並利未人，沒有離絕迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩利人，仍效法這些國的民，行可憎的事。

斯事既畢、諸牧伯就我曰、以色列眾、及祭司利未人、未與斯土之民絕交、效迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩利人、行其可憎之事、

嗣後民長就我曰、斯土之民、迦南人、赫人、比哩洗人、耶布士人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩哩人、俱作不善、以色列族眾、祭司、及利未人、與居與處、則清濁不判。

斯後、諸牧伯就我曰、以色列民、祭司、及利未人、不絕離斯土之異族、行迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、伊及人、亞摩利人所行可憎之事、

After these things had been done, the leaders came to me and said,“ The people of Israel, including the priests and the Levites, have not kept themselves separate from the neighboring peoples with their detestable practices, like those of the Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Jebusites, Ammonites, Moabites, Egyptians and Amorites.

After all these things had been done, the leaders came to me. They said,“ The people of Israel have committed sins. Even the priests and Levites have sinned. They haven’t kept themselves separate from the nations around them. The Lord hates the practices of those nations. He hates what the Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites do. He also hates what the Ammonites, Moabites, Egyptians and Amorites do.

After these things had been done, the officials approached me and said,“ The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands with their abominations, from the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

When these things had been done, the Jewish leaders came to me and said,“ Many of the people of Israel, and even some of the priests and Levites, have not kept themselves separate from the other peoples living in the land. They have taken up the detestable practices of the Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Jebusites, Ammonites, Moabites, Egyptians, and Amorites.

After these things had been done, the leaders approached me and said,“ The people of Israel, the priests, and the Levites have not separated themselves from the surrounding peoples whose detestable practices are like those of the Canaanites, Hethites, Perizzites, Jebusites, Ammonites, Moabites, Egyptians, and Amorites.

Now when these things had been completed, the officials approached me, saying,“ The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, as to their abominations, those of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

When these things were done, the leaders came to me, saying,“ The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, with respect to the abominations of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

Now when these things were done, the princes drew near unto me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

After these things had been done, the leaders approached me and said:“ The people of Israel, the priests, and the Levites have not separated themselves from the surrounding peoples whose detestable practices are like those of the Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Jebusites, Ammonites, Moabites, Egyptians, and Amorites.

Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands,[ doing] according to their abominations,[ even] of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

Now when these things had been completed, the leaders approached me and said,“ The people of Israel, the priests, and the Levites have not separated themselves from the local residents who practice detestable things similar to those of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

Now when these things were done, the princes came near to me, saying,“ The people of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, following their abominations, even those of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

以色列的後裔跟一切外人的子孫分別了出來，他們都站着、承認自己的罪和他們列祖的罪愆。

『不可因這些事的任一樣而蒙不潔，因為我從你們面前所趕走的外國人、就是在這一切事上蒙不潔的。連地也蒙不潔呢，所以我向那地察罰它的罪愆，那地就把它的居民吐出。故此你們要守我的律例和典章；這一切可厭惡的事、無論是本地人、是在你們中間寄居的外僑、都不可作，（因為這一切可厭惡的事、在你們以前那地的人都行了，而地就蒙了不潔；）免得你們使那地蒙不潔時、地就把你們吐出，像吐出你們以前的列國人一樣。因為凡作這些可厭惡之事的任一樣的、無論何人都必須從他們族人中被剪除。所以你們要守我所吩咐守的，免得你們實行這些可厭惡的規例、就是你們以前的人所作的、因而蒙了不潔；我永恆主是你們的上帝。』

到底在甚麼事上得以知道我和你人民在你面前蒙恩呢？豈不是因你和我們同去，而使我和你人民跟全地上萬族之民有分別麼？』

那時你要謹慎、不可在他們被消滅了之後去隨從他、而陷入網羅，也不可尋問他們的神說：「這些列國人怎樣事奉他們的神呢，我也要照樣地行。」你向永恆主你的上帝可不要這樣行，因為他們向他們的神行了永恆主所恨惡一切可厭惡的事，甚至將他們的兒女燒在火中、去獻給他們的神。

亞捫人多比雅在參巴拉旁邊，他也說：『哼！這些人所修造的、就是一隻狐狸上去，也會把這些石牆跐個破口的！』

只要將他們盡行殺滅歸神，將赫人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人、都殺滅淨盡，照永恆主你的上帝所吩咐你的，免得他們教導你們去習行一切可厭惡的事，就是他們向自己的神所行的，以致你們犯罪得罪了永恆主你的上帝。

從流亡之地返回的以色列人、和一切自己分別而歸附他們、不沾染四圍各地列國人的污穢、而要尋求永恆主以色列之上帝的人、都喫這羊羔。他們歡歡喜喜地守除酵之節七天，因為永恆主使他們歡喜，又使亞述王的心轉向他們，而加強他們的手去作以色列上帝之殿的工程。

就是基尼人、基尼洗人、甲摩尼人、赫人、比利洗人、高身漢種的人、亞摩利人、迦南人、革迦撒人、耶布斯人、之地。』

離開，離開哦！從那裏出來！不要觸着不潔淨之物！要從她中間出來！扛抬永恆主器皿的人哪，務要清潔你們自己！

我從巖頂看他，從山上望他；啊，這是一族獨居之民、不自數列於萬國中的！

亞捫人或摩押人不可進永恆主的公會，甚至到第十代也不可進永恆主的公會，永不可進。因為你們出了埃及、在路上的時候、他們沒有拿食物和水來迎接你們，又因為他們雇了米所波大米的毘奪人比珥的兒子巴蘭、來和你作對，來咒詛你。然而永恆主你的上帝卻不情願聽從巴蘭；永恆主你的上帝使那咒詛變為向你而發的祝福，因為永恆主你的上帝疼愛你。

凡不遵首領和長老所議定而在三天之內來到的，他的財物就必永獻歸神，他也必受隔開、不得屬於流亡返回之大眾。

那時候我們將摩西書誦讀給人民聽，見書上寫着說：亞捫人或摩押人永不可進上帝的公會；這是因為他們沒有拿食物和水來迎接以色列人，並且巴勒反而雇了巴蘭來和他們作對，來咒詛他們；但我們的上帝卻使那咒詛變為祝福。眾民聽見了這律法，就使一切雜族眾人跟以色列人分開。

以色列人住在什亭；他們的人民和摩押的女子行起淫亂來。那些女子請以色列人民去赴獻與她們的神的祭筵，以色列人民竟喫她們的祭筵，跪拜她們的神。這樣、以色列人委身於毘珥的巴力，永恆主就向以色列人發怒。

祭司以斯拉站了起來，對他們說：『你們不忠實了：你們娶外籍女人為妻，以致以色列人更加有罪。現在你們要向永恆主你們列祖的上帝認罪，遵行他所喜悅的，自己分別出來、脫離此地別族之民，脫離外籍的女人。』

猶大的首領貴族聽見這些事，就從王宮上永恆主的殿，去坐在永恆主之殿的新門口。

參巴拉、多比雅、亞拉伯人、亞捫人、亞實突人、聽說修復耶路撒冷城牆的事節節進行着，而破口的地方都開始堵塞住了，他們就非常惱怒。

『你到了永恆主你的上帝所賜給你的地那時候，不可仿傚那些外國人可厭惡的事去學着行。

你們從前居住的埃及地那裏的人所作的、你們不可照樣作；我要領你們到的迦南地、那裏的人所行的、你們也不可照樣行。你們不可按他們的規例行。

別跟不信者異類同軛相配偶了：義和不法怎能合夥呢？光對暗有甚麼團契呢？基督對彼列怎能和諧呢？信的同不信的有甚麼共同分兒？上帝的殿堂同偶像怎能符合呢？我們呢、就是永活上帝的殿堂。正如上帝所說的：『我要在他們裏面居住；我要在他們中間往來；我要做他們的上帝；他們必做我的子民。』所以『主說：你們要從他們中間出來，自己分別出來；不潔淨之物別接觸了；我就收納你們』；『我要做你們的父親，你們必做我的子女：全能的主說的。』

將來永恆主領你們進迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人之地，就是他向你祖宗起誓應許給你之地，流奶與蜜之地，那時你要在這一個月奉行以下這事奉禮。

『我的使者必在你前面走，領你到亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、迦南人、希未人、耶布斯人那裏去；我必將他們抹掉。

所羅門王愛上了許多外籍女子：像法老的女兒、摩押女子、亞捫女子、以東女子、西頓女子、赫人女子等。

到了第四代，他們必回到此地來，因為亞摩利人的罪孽還沒有貫滿。』

首領和眾民就對祭司和神言人們說：『這人不該死，因為他是奉永恆主我們的上帝的名向我們說話的。』

因為所羅門隨從西頓人的女神亞斯他錄、和亞捫人可憎的神米勒公。所羅門行了永恆主所看為壞的事，不滿心滿懷地跟從永恆主、不像他父親大衛跟從永恆主那樣子。那時所羅門為摩押可憎的神基抹和亞捫人可憎的神摩洛在耶路撒冷東面的山上築了一座邱壇。

但是你呢、你既名為猶太人，既依靠着律法，並拿上帝來誇口；你既由律法受教訓，知道上帝的旨意，也能驗別是非；你既深信自己是瞎子的領路人，是暗中人的光，是管教糊塗人的，是幼兒的教師，因為你在律法上擁有具體之知識、即具體之真理——那麼你這教導別人的，你不教導自己麼？你這宣傳說不可偷竊的，你偷竊麼？你這說不可姦淫的，你姦淫麼？你這憎惡偶像之污染的，你掠劫廟中之物麼？你這指着律法而誇口的，你因違犯律法而侮辱上帝麼？正如經上所記：『上帝的名在外國人中因你們而受了謗讟』！你如果行律法，割禮於你、固然有益；但你若違犯律法，你的受割禮就等於沒受割禮了。

反而和外國人混雜嫁娶，學習他們的行為，

他行永恆主所看為壞的事，像永恆主從以色列人面前所驅逐的外國人所行厭惡的事一樣。
