爾女不得適其子、爾子不得娶其女、勿與之和好、勿助其獲利、則可強盛、享其土產、世為恆業。

故勿以爾女嫁其子、勿為爾子娶其女、永勿求其平康、勿助之得利、如是、則可強盛、享其地之佳產、且遺其地於爾子孫、以為永業、

Therefore, do not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters for your sons. Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them at any time, that you may be strong and eat the good things of the land and leave it to your children as an everlasting inheritance.’

So don’t let your daughters marry their sons. And don’t let their daughters marry your sons. Don’t make a peace treaty with them at any time. Then you will be strong. You will eat the good things the land produces. And you will leave all of it to your children as their share. They and their children after them will enjoy it forever.’

Don’t let your daughters marry their sons! Don’t take their daughters as wives for your sons. Don’t ever promote the peace and prosperity of those nations. If you follow these instructions, you will be strong and will enjoy the good things the land produces, and you will leave this prosperity to your children forever.’

So do not give your daughters to their sons in marriage or take their daughters for your sons. Never pursue their welfare or prosperity, so that you will be strong, eat the good things of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.”

So now do not give your daughters to their sons nor take their daughters for your sons, and never seek their peace or their prosperity, so that you may be strong and may eat the good things of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.’

You shall not intermarry with them, giving your daughters to their sons or taking their daughters for your sons,

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.

You shall not seek their peace or their prosperity all your days forever.

For if you turn back and cling to the remnant of these nations remaining among you and make marriages with them, so that you associate with them and they with you,know for certain that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations before you, but they shall be a snare and a trap for you, a whip on your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good ground that the Lord your God has given you.

lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they whore after their gods and sacrifice to their gods and you are invited, you eat of his sacrifice,and you take of their daughters for your sons, and their daughters whore after their gods and make your sons whore after their gods.

You shall make no covenant with them and their gods.

seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?For I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.”

The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him!

Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

“ Now this is the commandment— the statutes and the rules— that the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land to which you are going over, to possess it,that you may fear the Lord your God, you and your son and your son’s son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be long.

But Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat,“ Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

For they have taken some of their daughters to be wives for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy race has mixed itself with the peoples of the lands. And in this faithlessness the hand of the officials and chief men has been foremost.”
