我为我神的殿已经尽了我的力量，预备了金子做金器，银子做银器，铜做铜器，铁做铁器，木做木器；还有红玛瑙、用作镶嵌的宝石、彩石和各样的宝石，以及很多大理石。不但这样，因我爱慕我神的殿，就在我为建造圣殿预备的一切以外，又把我自己积蓄的金银献给我神的殿：

我羞于请求王派遣步兵和马兵帮助我们抵御路上的仇敌，因为我们曾告诉王说：‘我们神的手必帮助所有寻求他的人，赐福给他们，但他的能力和忿怒必攻击所有离弃他的人。’
