我更以我天主眷祐我之事、及王允我之言告之、彼曰、我儕願起重建、於是眾志已堅、為此善事、

蒙我儕我天主之祐、於以色列孫利未子抹利裔中、得聰慧之人、攜之至、又得示利比雅、與其子弟十八人、

亦求降詔於司王山林之臣亞薩、命之賜我材木、用以作圍殿城之門之柝梁、建城垣、與我所欲居之室、我蒙我天主之祐、王允我所求、

我來而無人俟、我呼而無人應、何哉、我臂豈短、無力可贖乎、我豈無拯救之能乎、我叱咤、則海竭涸、使江河變為沙地、其中鱗族、因無水死而腥臭、

斯民乃主之僕、主之民、主曾以大能大力贖之、求主側耳俯聽僕之祈禱、及欲敬畏主名者諸僕之祈禱、求主使僕今日亨通、蒙恩於王王原文作此人前、當是時、我為王之酒政、

又有撒迦利亞之同族兄弟示瑪雅、亞撒列、米拉萊、基拉萊、瑪艾、拿坦業、猶大、哈拿尼、俱執天主僕大衛之樂器、文士以斯拉為其前導、

天主使我有重建耶路撒冷之志、此時我未嘗告人、夜起、乘畜而出、偕我有數人、我所乘之畜外、無他畜、

兄弟乎、我儕尚有言、我儕因我主耶穌基督、求爾勸爾、既受我儕之教、如何當行而見悅於天主、則宜多求進益、蓋爾知我儕因主耶穌以何誡授爾也、

天主眷顧猶大長老、使方伯等不止工作、俟奏大利烏、而大利烏為此事降詔、俟奏大利烏而大利烏為此事降詔或作直至大利烏降詔方伯等乃為此事上表

我遵主我天主所諭我之命、教爾以律例法度、使爾行之在爾將往得以為業之地、

教之守凡我所命爾者、且我常偕爾、至於世末、阿們、

歡然喜樂、守除酵節七日、蓋主使之喜樂、又感亞述王之心、眷顧之、輔助之、建主以色列天主之殿、

曰、今而後裔不復名雅各、乃名以色列、蓋爾與神與人較量、無不得勝、

主臂非短、豈不能救、主耳非聾、豈不能聽、

智者安在、經士安在、斯世之辯士安在、天主豈非使斯世之智為愚乎、

如爾聽從主爾天主之言、謹守遵行其諸誡命、即我今日所諭爾者、則主爾之天主必使爾超乎天下萬國之上、

耶穌曰、是以凡經士、為天國而學道者、如一家主、由其庫中出新舊之物、○

爾無論行何道、當思念主、則主必使爾道途平直、

敵既聞我知其意、天主破其謀、乃不來攻我、我儕遂返城垣、各作其工、

兄弟乎、昔我所傳爾之福音、即爾所受者、爾賴以得立者、今我復以此福音告爾、今我復以此福音告爾或作今我以此福音向爾伸言之

爾豈可自誇曰、我儕有智慧、主之律法為我所有、作律法徒然矣、繕寫律法徒然矣、

民聞律法之言咸哭、方伯尼希米、為祭司之文士以斯拉、與訓民之利未人、告民曰、今乃主爾天主之聖日、勿悲哀哭泣、
