你要傳福音，無論得時不得時，總要堅持；要以極大的耐心和各樣的教導責備人、告誡人、鼓勵人，

你們既然明白這些事，如果去做，就蒙福了。

耶和華啊，你垂聽了卑微人的願望！你使他們的心堅定；你側耳傾聽，

我看見一切完美的事都有盡頭，唯有你的誡命極其寬闊。我多麼愛你的律法！我終日都在默想它。你的誡命使我比仇敵更有智慧，因為它永遠屬於我。我比我所有的教師更明達，因為我默想你的法度。我比長老們更有悟性，因為我謹守你的訓誡。

神哪，我心堅定，我心堅定；我要歌唱，我要歌頌！

至於你，你所講的要與健全的教義相宜：

我要在寬闊之地往來行走，因為我尋求你的訓誡。

「凡是洗淨自己袍子，好使自己有權利到生命樹那裡，並且得以從城門進到城內的人——他們是蒙福的！

所以，如果有人違犯了這些誡命中最小的一條，又教導人也這樣做，他在天國裡將被稱為最小的；但無論誰遵行這些誡命，又教導人也這樣做，這個人在天國裡將被稱為大的。

撒母耳就對以色列全家宣告說：「你們如果全心回轉歸向耶和華，就要把外邦的神明和亞斯她錄從你們中間除掉，立定心志歸向耶和華，唯獨服事他。這樣他就會解救你們脫離非利士人的手。」

你要講說這些，充分地使用權威來勸勉、責備；不要讓任何人輕看你。

提阿費羅大人哪，在前一卷書中，我確實寫了有關耶穌開始做的和教導的一切事，

所以做監督的必須無可指責，只做一個婦人的丈夫，節制、自律、端莊，樂意款待客旅，善於教導，
