For seven days they celebrated with joy the Festival of Unleavened Bread, because the Lord had filled them with joy by changing the attitude of the king of Assyria so that he assisted them in the work on the house of God, the God of Israel.

For seven days they celebrated the Feast of Unleavened Bread with joy. That’s because the Lord had filled them with joy. They were glad because he had changed the mind of the king of Persia. So the king had helped them with the work on the house of the God of Israel.

And they kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with joy, for the Lord had made them joyful and had turned the heart of the king of Assyria to them, so that he aided them in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.

Then they celebrated the Festival of Unleavened Bread for seven days. There was great joy throughout the land because the Lord had caused the king of Assyria to be favorable to them, so that he helped them to rebuild the Temple of God, the God of Israel.

They observed the Festival of Unleavened Bread for seven days with joy, because the LORD had made them joyful, having changed the Assyrian king’s attitude toward them, so that he supported them in the work on the house of the God of Israel.

耶和華諭耶利米預言必應、故巴西國王古列元年、耶和華感古列王之心、詔告天下云、

王志所向、耶和華挽其意、如回狂瀾於既倒。

故當舊酵盡淨、俾成新團、若除酵然、蓋吾之逾越羔基督為我見宰、勿以惡毒之舊酵、宜以誠實之無酵、守節期、

以士喇曰、當頌讚列祖之上帝耶和華、感動王心、修葺耶路撒冷之殿、

凡以色列民、詣耶路撒冷者、守無酵節、七日欣喜、利未人及祭司、日操樂器、頌讚耶和華。

以色列族守逾越節、及無酵節、歷七日。

爰命河西牧伯達乃、示達薄乃、及其同儔、亞八薩人、宜自謹恪、人建上帝殿、勿行沮尼。猶大方伯、以及長老、建殿於其所、許之可也。申命收河西餉稅、於其中取金、予猶大族長老、使建上帝殿、俾興作無所窒礙。彼宜用犢、牡綿羊、綿羊羔、為燔祭、奉事天上上帝、亦用麥鹽油酒、應耶路撒冷祭司所求、爾必供給、日恆不絕。俾得獻祭、奉事天上上帝、取其馨香、為王及王子祈禱。我頒詔天下、如違我命、則取其室之梁木立之、懸其人於上、以其室為厠。昔上帝簡是殿、為籲厥名之所、或君或民、欲廢斯命、毀耶路撒冷之殿、願上帝加以翦滅、我降是詔、速行勿緩。

七日當食無酵餅、歷至七日、乃守節禮、奉事耶和華。七日必食無酵餅、酵與酒母、毋得見於爾境。

七日間、當食無酵餅、首日必於爾室除酵、自首日至七日、凡食酵者、必絕之於以色列族中。首日必為聖會、七日亦必為聖會、是日勿操作、推備食則可。是日我導爾群眾、以出埃及、故當守無酵節期、歷世勿替、永著為例。正月十四日夕、至二十一日夕、宜食無酵餅。七日間勿存酵於爾家、無論宗族賓旅、若食酵餅、必絕於以色列會中。有酵者勿食、維爾家所食者、必除其酵。○

我必自埃及令其旋歸、自亞述令其和集、使至基列、利巴嫩、彼土猶為褊小、不足以居、昔我判海為二、使民過之、後必使溝渠盡涸、翦亞述之驕心、毀埃及之鈞衡、

除酵節首日、門徒就耶穌曰、欲我何處為爾備節筵乎、

有人焉、耶和華悅其所為、必使仇敵皆與之和。

耶穌曰、非自上賜、爾則無權治我、故賣我者罪益大、

當時埃及王法老尼哥、往百辣河、攻亞述王、約西亞王禦之、被殺於米吉多。

故使亞述王軍長攻之、執馬拿西、擊以鐵索、解至巴比倫、
