So the Israelites who had returned from the exile ate it, together with all who had separated themselves from the unclean practices of their Gentile neighbors in order to seek the Lord, the God of Israel.

So the Israelites who had returned ate the Passover lamb. They ate it together with all those who had separated themselves from the practices of their Gentile neighbors. Those practices were“ unclean.” The people worshiped the Lord. He is the God of Israel.

昔爾命臣諸先知告我云、爾所欲據之地甚不潔、因斯民作不善、四境皆然、以此污衊。

與異邦人絕交、卓然自立、自任己過、及列祖愆尤。

以清水灑爾、使爾為潔、凡拜偶像行淫穢之事、均滌除焉。

餘民、祭司、利未人、司閽者、謳歌者、殿中奔走者、與異邦人絕交、從上帝律例者、各偕妻孥、有知識之童子、

耶和華兮、爾之法度至真、爾之居處至聖、永世靡暨兮。

有人捫尸蒙污、不得於是日守逾越節、至摩西亞倫前、曰、吾儕雖捫尸自玷、屆期奚禁我與以色列族同獻禮物、以事耶和華。

主曰、爾出不潔者中、自為樹立、不近於彼、吾則納爾、

以色列會眾、宜守此禮。有外人旅於爾家、欲奉耶和華、守逾越節、必使其丁男、俱受割禮、然後可入會守之、與爾本支無異。未受割者不可食。爾之本支、及外人旅於爾家者、皆同此例。

嗣後民長就我曰、斯土之民、迦南人、赫人、比哩洗人、耶布士人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩哩人、俱作不善、以色列族眾、祭司、及利未人、與居與處、則清濁不判。

凡我良朋、既為主所許、當自潔乃身、去一切有形無形之污、畏上帝而成聖、

爾曹選民、去巴比倫、勿居其中、勿捫污衊、凡攜耶和華之聖器者、當自潔其身、

告以色列族云、凡爾族中、爰及苗裔、雖捫尸自玷、或遠適他邦、亦當守逾越節、以奉事我。二月十四日薄暮、當食逾越節羔、無酵餅與苦菜、毋留其餘於明日、其骨不折、悉遵例而守節期。如人不蒙污、不適他方、而弗守逾越節者、罪必歸之、絕於民中、以屆期、不獻禮物也。如外人旅於爾中、守逾越節、而奉事我、必遵例以守節期、爾之宗族爰及賓旅、其例相同。
