人對我說：『我們上永恆主的殿去』，我就很歡喜。

那一天眾人宰獻了大祭，歡喜快樂；因為上帝使他們大大歡樂；連婦女帶孩童也都歡樂；甚至耶路撒冷中的歡聲都聽到遠處。

願你們時常在主裏喜樂！我再說，願你們喜樂。

在那裏、你們在永恆主你們的上帝面前、你們和你們的家眷都要喫喝；並且要因你們下手辦的一切事都蒙永恆主你的上帝賜福而歡樂。

這樣、在耶路撒冷就大有喜樂；自從以色列王大衛兒子所羅門的日子以來，在耶路撒冷都沒有過這樣的。

這樣、以色列眾人就歡呼吹號角、拿號筒響鈸和琴瑟大聲作樂，將永恆主的約櫃接上來了。

他們彼此唱和、讚美稱謝永恆主、說：『因為他至善；他向以色列人所施的堅愛永遠長存。』他們讚美永恆主的時候、眾民都大聲歡呼、慶祝永恆主之殿的根基已經立定。但是有許多祭司中的人和利未人、以及父系的族長、那些曾經見過先前的殿之奠基的、老年人、如今看見這樣的殿在眼前，便大聲哭號；不過也有許多人提高了聲音、歡喜快樂地呼喊；

於是祭司和利未人、守門的、歌唱的、人民中一部分的人當殿役的、以及以色列眾人、都住在自己的市鎮裏。到了七月、以色列人各在自己的市鎮裏。
