好叫他們獻馨香的祭給天上的神，又為王和王眾子的壽命祈禱。

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒從前擄去猶大省的人，現在他們的子孫從被擄到之地回耶路撒冷和猶大，各歸本城。

以色列人、祭司、利未人、尼提寧，和所羅門僕人的後裔都住在猶大城邑，各在自己的地業中。本省的首領住在耶路撒冷的記在下面：

亞哈隨魯作王，從印度直到古實，統管一百二十七省。

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒從前擄到巴比倫之猶大省的人，現在他們的子孫從被擄到之地回耶路撒冷和猶大，各歸本城。

於是，尼布甲尼撒就近烈火窰門，說：「至高神的僕人沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌出來，上這裏來吧！」沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌就從火中出來了。

我樂意將至高的神向我所行的神蹟奇事宣揚出來。

因為耶和華－你們的神－他是萬神之神，萬主之主，至大的神，大有能力，大而可畏，不以貌取人，也不受賄賂。

「波斯王塞魯士如此說：『耶和華天上的神已將天下萬國賜給我，又囑咐我在猶大的耶路撒冷為他建造殿宇。在你們中間凡作他子民的，可以上猶大的耶路撒冷，在耶路撒冷重建耶和華－以色列神的殿（只有他是神）。願神與這人同在。

凡天上之神所吩咐的，當為天上神的殿詳細辦理。為何使忿怒臨到王和王眾子的國呢？

耶穌從殿裏出來的時候，有一個門徒對他說：「夫子，請看，這是何等的石頭！何等的殿宇！」耶穌對他說：「你看見這大殿宇嗎？將來在這裏沒有一塊石頭留在石頭上，不被拆毀了。」

現在我降旨曉諭我所統轄的全國人民，要在但以理的神面前，戰兢恐懼。因為他是永遠長存的活神，他的國永不敗壞；他的權柄永存無極！

王對但以理說：「你既能顯明這奧祕的事，你們的神誠然是萬神之神、萬王之主，又是顯明奧祕事的。」

日子滿足，我－尼布甲尼撒舉目望天，我的聰明復歸於我，我便稱頌至高者，讚美尊敬活到永遠的神。他的權柄是永有的；他的國存到萬代。世上所有的居民都算為虛無；在天上的萬軍和世上的居民中，他都憑自己的意旨行事。無人能攔住他手，或問他說，你做甚麼呢？那時，我的聰明復歸於我，為我國的榮耀、威嚴，和光耀也都復歸於我；並且我的謀士和大臣也來朝見我。我又得堅立在國位上，至大的權柄加增於我。現在我－尼布甲尼撒讚美、尊崇、恭敬天上的王；因為他所做的全都誠實，他所行的也都公平。那行動驕傲的，他能降為卑。

發詔書，用各省的文字、各族的方言通知各省，使為丈夫的在家中作主，各說本地的方言。

據我們的仇敵自己斷定，他們的磐石不如我們的磐石。

耶和華本為大，該受大讚美；其大無法測度。
