Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Joshua son of Jozadak set to work to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, began to work. So did Joshua, the son of Jozadak. They began to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. The prophets of God were right there with them. They were helping them.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak arose and began to rebuild the house of God that is in Jerusalem, and the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jehozadak responded by starting again to rebuild the Temple of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them and helped them.

Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak began to rebuild God’s house in Jerusalem. The prophets of God were with them, helping them.

Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which[ is] at Jerusalem: and with them[ were] the prophets of God helping them.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak began to rebuild the temple of God in Jerusalem. The prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

約薩達的兒子耶書亞和作祭司的親族，撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯和他的兄弟都起來，建築以色列神的祭壇，為要照著神人摩西律法書上所寫的，在祭壇上獻燔祭。

耶和華又使我看見大祭司約書亞站在耶和華的使者面前，撒但也站在約書亞右邊控告他。耶和華對撒但說：“撒但哪！耶和華斥責你，那揀選了耶路撒冷的耶和華斥責你。這個人不是從火中抽出來的一根柴嗎？”那時，約書亞穿著污穢的衣服，站在使者的面前。使者吩咐那些侍立在他面前的說：“你們要脫去他污穢的衣服。”又對約書亞說：“看哪！我已經除去了你的罪孽，要給你穿上華美的禮服。”

那時，撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯、約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞和所有餘剩的子民，都聽從了耶和華他們神的話，聽從了耶和華他們神所差來的哈該先知的話。眾民在耶和華面前都存著敬畏的心。耶和華的使者哈該，奉耶和華的命，對眾民說：“耶和華說：‘我與你們同在。’”於是耶和華激發了撒拉鐵的兒子、猶大省長所羅巴伯的心，和約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞的心，以及所有餘剩子民的心，他們就來興工建造萬軍之耶和華他們神的殿宇。那時是大利烏王第二年六月二十四日。

同月二十四日，耶和華的話再次臨到哈該，說：“你要向猶大省長所羅巴伯說：‘我要震動天地，我必傾覆列國的寶座，消滅外族萬國的勢力，我必推翻戰車和駕車的人；馬匹和騎馬的都必跌倒；各人必死在自己兄弟的刀下。’萬軍之耶和華說：‘撒拉鐵的兒子，我的僕人所羅巴伯啊！到那日我必提拔你。’耶和華說：‘我必以你為印記。’萬軍之耶和華說：‘因為我揀選了你。’”

我們並不是要轄制你們的信仰，而是要作你們的同工，使你們喜樂，因為你們在信仰上已經站穩了。

他對我說：“這是耶和華對所羅巴伯所說的話：‘不是倚靠權勢，不是倚靠能力，而是倚靠我的靈。’這是萬軍之耶和華說的。大山啊！你算得甚麼？你在所羅巴伯面前必夷為平地！他必安放那塊平頂的石頭，必有歡呼的聲音說：‘願恩惠、恩惠歸與這殿（“這殿”原文作“她”）。’”耶和華的話又臨到我說：“所羅巴伯的手奠立了這殿的根基，他的手也必完成這工；這樣，你就知道萬軍之耶和華差遣了我到你們這裡來。

你要拿這金銀來做冠冕，戴在約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞的頭上，

耶和華說：“所羅巴伯啊！現在你要剛強。”耶和華說：“約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞啊！你要剛強；這地的一切子民啊！你們也要剛強，並且要作工。”萬軍之耶和華說：“因為我與你們同在。這就是你們從埃及出來的時候，我與你們立約的話。現在我的靈住在你們中間；你們不要懼怕。”因為萬軍之耶和華這樣說：“再過不多的時候，我要震動天、地、海洋和旱地。”萬軍之耶和華說：“我要震動萬國，萬國的珍寶就必運來；我要使這殿宇充滿榮耀。”萬軍之耶和華說：“銀子是我的，金子也是我的。”萬軍之耶和華說：“這殿宇後來的榮耀，必大過先前的榮耀。”萬軍之耶和華說：“在這地方，我必賜下平安。”
