哈大底谢的臣仆见自己被以色列打败，就与大卫讲和，臣服他。于是亚兰人不愿再帮助亚扪人了。

所罗门管理整个大河西边，从提弗萨直到迦萨，以及大河西边的诸王，属他的四境尽都平安。

如今请王知道，这城若再建造，城墙完工，他们就不再进贡、纳粮、缴税，王的国库必受亏损。

地上的众王都求见所罗门的面，要听神放在他心里的智慧。他们各带贡物，就是银器、金器、衣服、兵器、香料、马、骡子，每年都有一定的数量。

神帮助他攻击非利士人和住在姑珥‧巴力的阿拉伯人，以及米乌尼人。米乌尼人向乌西雅进贡。他的名声传到埃及，因他非常强盛。

我再吩咐你们：至于任何祭司、利未人、歌唱的、门口的守卫和殿役，以及在神的这殿事奉的人，不可要求他们进贡，纳粮，缴税。’

大卫在以东设立军营，以东人就都臣服他。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。

凡你们脚掌所踏之地，我都照我所应许摩西的话赐给你们了。从旷野和这黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼发拉底河，赫人的全地，又到大海日落的方向，都要作你们的疆土。
