現在奏知大王：如果這城建成，牆垣築好，他們就不再繳稅、進貢和納糧，王的國庫收入必定受損。

因此，你們也當納稅，因為他們是神的差役，專責處理這事的。你們要向各人清還所欠的；應當納稅的，就要給他納稅；應當進貢的，就給他進貢；應當敬畏的，就敬畏他；應當尊敬的，就尊敬他。

有些人說：“我們為了要借錢向王納稅，只好抵押了我們的田地和葡萄園。

耶穌從那裡往前走，看見一個人，名叫馬太，坐在稅關那裡，就對他說：“來跟從我！”他就起來跟從了耶穌。

傲慢人用謊言中傷我，我卻一心遵守你的訓詞。

他說：“納。”他進到屋子裡，耶穌先問他：“西門，你認為怎樣？地上的君王向誰徵收關稅和丁稅？向自己的兒子還是外人呢？”

從前大能的君王統治耶路撒冷，治理河西那邊的全地，接受他們繳稅、進貢和納糧。

你圖謀毀滅，你的舌頭鋒利像剃刀，常弄詭詐。
