Then Joshua son of Jozadak and his fellow priests and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and his associates began to build the altar of the God of Israel to sacrifice burnt offerings on it, in accordance with what is written in the Law of Moses the man of God.

Then Joshua began to build the altar for burnt offerings to honor the God of Israel. Joshua was the son of Jozadak. The other priests helped Joshua. So did Zerubbabel and his men. They built the altar according to what is written in the Law of Moses. Moses was a man of God. Zerubbabel was the son of Shealtiel.

Then arose Jeshua the son of Jozadak, with his fellow priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel with his kinsmen, and they built the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings on it, as it is written in the Law of Moses the man of God.

Then Jeshua son of Jehozadak joined his fellow priests and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel with his family in rebuilding the altar of the God of Israel. They wanted to sacrifice burnt offerings on it, as instructed in the Law of Moses, the man of God.

who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of Jehovah by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,

And after the carrying away to Babylon, Jechoniah begat Shealtiel; and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel;and Zerubbabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of Jehovah their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as Jehovah their God had sent him; and the people did fear before Jehovah.

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith Jehovah of hosts.Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of Grace, grace, unto it.Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you.For who hath despised the day of small things? for these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel; these are the eyes of Jehovah, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt- offerings, and thy peace- offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in every place where I record my name I will come unto thee and I will bless thee.And if thou make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stones; for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

but I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there, and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Jehovah, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

And the sons of Pedaiah: Zerubbabel, and Shimei. And the sons of Zerubbabel: Meshullam, and Hananiah; and Shelomith was their sister;

Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;

Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy fellows that sit before thee; for they are men that are a sign: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.

Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.

Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying,Who is left among you that saw this house in its former glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes as nothing?Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith Jehovah; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith Jehovah, and work: for I am with you, saith Jehovah of hosts,

yea, take of them silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;

And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto Jehovah: he- lambs a year old without blemish, two day by day, for a continual burnt- offering.The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt thou offer at even;and the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meal- offering, mingled with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil.It is a continual burnt- offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savor, an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.And the drink- offering thereof shall be the fourth part of a hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou pour out a drink- offering of strong drink unto Jehovah.And the other lamb shalt thou offer at even: as the meal- offering of the morning, and as the drink- offering thereof, thou shalt offer it, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.And on the sabbath day two he- lambs a year old without blemish, and two tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour for a meal- offering, mingled with oil, and the drink- offering thereof:this is the burnt- offering of every sabbath, besides the continual burnt- offering, and the drink- offering thereof.And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt- offering unto Jehovah: two young bullocks, and one ram, seven he- lambs a year old without blemish;and three tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour for a meal- offering, mingled with oil, for each bullock; and two tenth parts of fine flour for a meal- offering, mingled with oil, for the one ram;and a tenth part of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal- offering unto every lamb; for a burnt- offering of a sweet savor, an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.And their drink- offerings shall be half a hin of wine for a bullock, and the third part of a hin for the ram, and the fourth part of a hin for a lamb: this is the burnt- offering of every month throughout the months of the year.And one he- goat for a sin- offering unto Jehovah; it shall be offered besides the continual burnt- offering, and the drink- offering thereof.And in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, is Jehovah’s passover.And on the fifteenth day of this month shall be a feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.In the first day shall be a holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work;but ye shall offer an offering made by fire, a burnt- offering unto Jehovah: two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven he- lambs a year old; they shall be unto you without blemish;and their meal- offering, fine flour mingled with oil: three tenth parts shall ye offer for a bullock, and two tenth parts for the ram;a tenth part shalt thou offer for every lamb of the seven lambs;and one he- goat for a sin- offering, to make atonement for you.Ye shall offer these besides the burnt- offering of the morning, which is for a continual burnt- offering.After this manner ye shall offer daily, for seven days, the food of the offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah: it shall be offered besides the continual burnt- offering, and the drink- offering thereof.And on the seventh day ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work.Also in the day of the first- fruits, when ye offer a new meal- offering unto Jehovah in your feast of weeks, ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work;but ye shall offer a burnt- offering for a sweet savor unto Jehovah: two young bullocks, one ram, seven he- lambs a year old;and their meal- offering, fine flour mingled with oil, three tenth parts for each bullock, two tenth parts for the one ram,a tenth part for every lamb of the seven lambs;one he- goat, to make atonement for you.Besides the continual burnt- offering, and the meal- offering thereof, ye shall offer them( they shall be unto you without blemish), and their drink- offerings.

In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith Jehovah, and will make thee as a signet; for I have chosen thee, saith Jehovah of hosts.

And Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work on the house of Jehovah of hosts, their God,

But chose the tribe of Judah, The mount Zion which he loved.

But unto the place which Jehovah your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come;and thither ye shall bring your burnt- offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave- offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill- offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock:and there ye shall eat before Jehovah your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee.
