“ This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:“‘ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah.

“ Cyrus, the king of Persia, says,“‘ The Lord is the God of heaven. He has given me all the kingdoms on earth. He has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah.

“ Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

“ This is what King Cyrus of Persia says:“ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build him a Temple at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.

我使我仆人的话实现，使我使者的谋算成就。我对耶路撒冷说：‘你必有人居住。’对犹大的城镇说：‘你们要再被建造起来，至于其中的废墟，我必重建它们。’我对深渊说：‘你干了吧，我必使你的江河干涸！’我对古列说：‘我的牧人；他必成就我所喜悦的一切。’他要对耶路撒冷说：‘你必被重建起来！’他必对圣殿说：‘你的根基要奠定！’”“我耶和华所膏立的古列，我紧握着他的右手，使列国降服在他面前；我也松开列王的腰带；我使门户在他面前敞开，使城门不得关闭；耶和华对古列这样说：

现在我已经亲自把这一切国家都交在我仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手中，连田野的走兽，我也交给他，供他奴役。列国都要服事他和他的儿子、孙子，直到他本国遭报的时候来到；那时，许多国家和大君王都要奴役他。

耶和华这样说：“天是我的宝座，地是我的脚凳；你们要在哪里为我建造殿宇呢？怎样的地方才是我安息的所在呢？”

因神所赐给他的权势，各国、各族和说各种语言的人，都在他面前战兢恐惧；他要杀谁，就杀谁；要谁活着，谁就可以活着；要提升谁，就提升谁；要贬低谁，就贬低谁。但他心高气傲、妄自尊大的时候，就从国位上被赶下来，他的尊荣也被夺去。他被赶逐，离开人群，他的心变如兽心，他和野驴同住，像牛一样吃草，身体被天露滴湿；等到他承认至高的神在世人的国中掌权，他喜欢谁，就立谁执掌国权。

“神真的住在地上吗？看哪！天和天上的天尚且不能容纳你，何况我建造的这殿呢？

希兰又说：“创造天地的耶和华以色列的神，是应当称颂的！因为他赐给大卫王一个有智慧的儿子，有聪明有见识，可以为耶和华建造殿宇，为自己建造王宫。

王啊！你是万王之王，天上的神已经把国度、权柄、能力和尊荣都赐给你；也把散居在各处的世人、田野的走兽和空中的飞鸟，都交在你手里，使你管理这一切。你就是那金头。

你必被赶逐，离开人群，和野地的走兽同住；你必像牛一样吃草，要经过七年的时期；等到你承认至高者在世人的国中掌权，他喜欢把国赐给谁，就赐给谁。”

你们要对他们这样说：“那些没有创造天地的神，必从地上、从天下消灭。”

他改变时间、季节；他废王、立王；他赐智慧给智慧人，赐知识给聪明人。

竟高抬自己，敌对天上的主，使人把他殿中的器皿拿到你面前来，你和你的大臣、妻妾、妃嫔用这些器皿喝酒；你又赞美那些不能看见、不能听见、什么都不能知道，用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神，却没有把荣耀归给那手中有你的气息，和那掌管你一切命途的神。

你必被赶逐，离开人群，和野地的走兽同住；你必像牛一样吃草，被天露滴湿，要经过七年的时期；等到你承认至高者在世人的国中掌权，他喜欢把国赐给谁，就赐给谁。

只有一位在天上的神能把一切隐秘的事显明；他已经把日后将要发生的事告诉你尼布甲尼撒王了。你的梦和你躺在床上时脑海中出现的异象就是这样：
