He stretched out what looked like a hand and took me by the hair of my head. The Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and in visions of God he took me to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court, where the idol that provokes to jealousy stood.

他們用外族人的神激了上帝的妒憤，用可厭惡的事惹了他發怒。

靈將我舉起，帶到永恆主之殿向東的東門；只見那門口有二十五個人；我看見其中有民間的首領押朔的兒子雅撒尼亞和比拿雅的兒子毘拉提。

故此主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓，你既用你一切可憎之像和你一切可厭惡的事來污瀆我的聖所，我就一定要將你剪除；我眼必不顧惜你，我必不可憐你。

在上帝的異象中他把我帶到以色列地，將我安置在很高的山上；那上頭有彷彿一座城的建築物在我對面。

不可敬拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我永恆主你的上帝是忌邪的上帝；恨我的、我必察罰他們的罪愆、從父親到兒子、到三四代。

立刻有人手的指頭伸出來，在王家宮殿的粉牆上、燈臺相對的地方、寫字；王見了寫字的手掌。

不可跪拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我永恆主你的上帝是忌邪的上帝；恨我的、我必察罰他們的罪愆、從父親到兒子，到三四代。

因為永恆主你的上帝在你中間是忌邪的上帝；恐怕永恆主你的上帝向你發怒，就把你從這地上消滅掉。

因為永恆主你的上帝乃是燒滅人的烈火，是忌邪的上帝。

他們呢、以那不是神的激了我的妒憤，以虛無的神惹了我發怒；我呢、也必以那不是子民的激他們的妒忌，以愚昧的外國人惹他們的憤恨。

靈將我舉起，將我在異象中藉着上帝的靈、帶進迦勒底地、到流亡的人那裏；我所看見的異象就離開我上升去了。

我看了看，只見有一隻手向我面前伸來，手中還有一卷書卷。

我知道有一個屬於基督的人、十四年前、這樣的一個人被攫到第三層天去；是連身體麼，我不知道；是不連身體麼，我不知道，上帝知道。我不過知道這麼一個人，或連身體、或不帶身體、我都不知道，上帝知道；他曾被攫到樂園去，聽到了不能言傳的話語、是人不可以說的。

忽有一隻手跟我接觸，使我用膝蓋和手掌趴在地上而發抖震顫。

你們不能喝主的杯，又喝鬼的杯；不能分享主的筵席，又分享鬼的筵席啊。或是說我們在激動主的妒愛啊？難道我們比他還強壯麼？

約書亞對人民說：『你們不能事奉永恆主；因為他是聖別的上帝；他是忌邪的上帝；他必不赦免你們的過犯罪惡。

他又將永恆主面前的銅祭壇、從殿的前面、從新壇與永恆主的殿之間、搬去放在新壇北邊。

他們從水裏上來，主的靈把腓利攫了去；太監不再看見他，就歡歡喜喜地走他的路。

對他說：『您請看，你僕人這裏有壯士五十個人；請讓他們去尋找你老師，或者永恆主的靈將他提去，去丟在一座山上、或是一個山谷裏也不一定。』以利沙說：『不用打發人去了。』

上帝對我說：『人子啊，你舉目向北。』我就舉目向北，便見祭壇門北邊，出入處那裏有這惹主妒憤的雕像！

有一位形狀像人的又來摸觸着我，加強我的力氣。

他們把它的妝飾之華美變成了狂傲的因由，又用它去製造可憎可厭惡的形像，因此我使他們看它為污穢之物。

我立刻就在靈境中；見有個寶座安置在天上，寶座上有一位坐着的。那坐着的看來彷彿碧玉和肉紅玉髓；又有虹圍着寶座，看來仿彿綠寶石。寶座周圍有二十四個座位；有二十四位長老坐在座位上；身披白衣，頭戴金華冠。有閃電、響聲、雷轟、從寶座間發出；在寶座前點𤏲七枝火把，就是上帝之七靈。寶座前好像玻璃海，彷彿水晶一般。寶座四圍、在寶座每一面當中、有一隻活物，四面共四隻，前後滿有眼睛。第一隻活物彷彿獅子，第二隻活物彷彿牛犢，第三隻活物有臉面像人的臉面，第四隻活物彷彿飛着的鷹。這四隻活物之中，每一隻各有六個翅膀，遍體內外都滿有眼睛。他們沒有歇息、晝夜唱着說：『聖哉！聖哉！聖哉！主上帝，全能者，昔在、今在、以後永在的！』每逢那些活物將榮耀尊貴感謝獻與那坐寶座上、永遠活着、世世無窮的、那時候，二十四位長老總俯伏在坐寶座者面前，敬拜那永遠活着、世世無窮的，總把他們的華冠丟在寶座前，說：『我們的主，我們的上帝，你是配得榮耀尊貴權能的；因為你創造了萬有；憑着你的旨意、萬有存在着，萬有被創造。』

『因為猶大人行我所看為壞的事，把他們可憎之像立在稱為我名下的殿中，來污瀆它：這是永恆主發神諭說的。

我一離開你，永恆主的靈必將你提到我所不知道的地方去；這樣、我去報告亞哈，他若找不着你，一定會把我殺死；而我、你的僕人、卻是從幼年以來就敬畏永恆主的。

於是靈將我舉起，帶我而去；我很苦惱，帶着心靈上的激熱而去；永恆主的手大有力量地按在我身上。

（不可拜別的神，因為那名為忌邪者永恆主是忌邪的上帝），

他們用他們的邱壇惹了他發怒，用他們的雕像激了他的妒憤。

竟把他們可憎之像立在稱為我名下的殿中，來污瀆它。

那時靈將我舉了起來；當永恆主的榮耀從它的所在升起的時候，我就聽見在我後面有大震動轟轟的響聲。

又將他所造的亞舍拉神木的雕像立在聖殿中；這殿卻是永恆主曾對大衛和大衛兒子所羅門指着說：『是在這殿、並在我從以色列眾族派中所選擇的耶路撒冷、我要立我的名到永遠的。

有一主日、我身在靈境中、聽見有大聲音在我後面像號筒的聲音說着話說：『你所看見的要寫在書上，寄給以弗所、士每拿、別迦摩、推雅推喇、撒狄、非拉鐵非、老底嘉、那七個教會。』我轉過身來，要看看那同我說話的聲音是甚麼回事；我一轉身，就看見七個金燈臺；燈臺中間有一位彷彿是人子，穿着垂到腳上的長衣，胸間束着金帶。他的頭和頭髮都白得像白羊毛、像雪；他的眼睛像火燄；他的腳彷彿是明亮的銅，像在火爐中鍛煉過的；他的聲音像眾水的聲音。他並且執有七顆星在右手中；有一把雙刃的利劍從他口中吐出；他的臉面像日頭滿有熱力地發光。我一看見他，就仆倒在他腳前，像個死人。他把右手按着我說：『別怕了；我是首先的，末後的，永活的；我曾經死，如今你看，我是永遠活着、世世無窮的；我並且執有死亡和陰間的鑰匙。所以你要把所看見的、就是現在的事、和此後必須發生的事、都寫下來。你所看見那在我右手中的七顆星和七個金燈臺的象徵奧祕是：那七顆星是七個教會的使者；那七個燈臺是七個教會。
