王公哀慘、牧伯驚駭、庶民喪膽、我視其所行、降以重罰、使知我乃耶和華。

王者哀慘、牧伯驚駭、國民手俱戰慄、手俱戰慄或作已皆喪膽我必視其行為以待之、循其惡習以鞫之、彼則知我乃主、

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;Who will render to every man according to his deeds:To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn[ yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.

So shall ye know that I[ am] the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such[ things]? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?[ As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place[ where] the king[ dwelleth] that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake,[ even] with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.Neither shall Pharaoh with[ his] mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these[ things], he shall not escape.Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;[ As] I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me.And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken[ it].

For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; This burden[ concerneth] the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that[ are] among them.Say, I[ am] your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove[ and] go into captivity.And the prince that[ is] among them shall bear upon[ his] shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, that he see not the ground with[ his] eyes.My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon[ to] the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.And I will scatter toward every wind all that[ are] about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.And they shall know that I[ am] the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries.But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen whither they come; and they shall know that I[ am] the LORD.Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with carefulness;And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem,[ and] of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I[ am] the LORD.And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,Son of man, what[ is] that proverb[ that] ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?

Woe unto the wicked![ it shall be] ill[ with him]: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
