The seller will not recover the property that was sold— as long as both buyer and seller live. For the vision concerning the whole crowd will not be reversed. Because of their sins, not one of them will preserve their life.

The seller will not get back the land that was sold. That will be true as long as both the buyer and seller are alive.“‘ Ezekiel, the vision I gave you about that whole crowd will come true. They have committed many sins. So not one of them will be able to save their life.

For the seller shall not return to what he has sold, while they live. For the vision concerns all their multitude; it shall not turn back; and because of his iniquity, none can maintain his life.

Even if the merchants survive, they will never return to their business. For what God has said applies to everyone— it will not be changed! Not one person whose life is twisted by sin will ever recover.

And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away[ some] of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.But if he be not able to restore[ it] to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.

But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.

For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.

Lo,[ this is] the man[ that] made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches,[ and] strengthened himself in his wickedness.

Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbour’s wife: and shall ye possess the land?Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD;[ As] I live, surely they that[ are] in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that[ is] in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that[ be] in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

[ There is] no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither[ hath he] power in the day of death: and[ there is] no discharge in[ that] war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.
