用神迹的能力、即奇事的能力、用聖靈的能力、得到外國人的聽從。故此我才能從耶路撒冷轉灣到以利里古、把基督的福音都傳遍了。

這事行了兩年，以致凡住亞西亞的、都聽見主的道，不但有猶太人、也有希利尼人。上帝藉着保羅的手行了非常的異能，甚至連手巾或圍巾也從他肌膚上被帶走，去放在患病的人身上，疾病就消退，惡靈也出來。那時有幾個來往各處、念咒趕鬼的猶太人也着手向有惡靈在身的人稱起主耶穌的名來，說：『我指着保羅所宣傳的耶穌誓逐你們！』有一個猶太人士基瓦，是「祭司長」，他的七個兒子就是這樣行的。惡靈卻回答他們說：『耶穌我認識，保羅我知道；你們呢、是誰？』有惡靈在身的那個人就撲在他們身上，制伏了兩個，勝過他們，以致他們都從那屋子裏逃出來，赤着身子，受了傷。這件事、凡住以弗所的，無論是猶太人、是希利尼人、都知道；他們都起了敬畏的心，主耶穌的名就被尊為大。已經信的、有許多人來，承認並報告自己所行的事。有好些行邪術的人把書卷收集攏來，在眾人面前燒掉了。他們算計那價錢，便知道值五萬錠銀子。主的道是這樣帶有權能地興旺着，得勝着。

這福音到了你們那裏，正如到了全世界，結果子增長着，正如在你們中間一樣結果子增長；自從你們聽見了、並實實在在認識了上帝恩惠的日子以來、都是如此。
