這樣，他既被高舉在上帝右邊，又從父領受了所應許的聖靈，便將這個、你們所看見所聽見的、傾注下來。

那些奉割禮、和彼得一同來的信徒，因聖靈這白白的恩賜居然也傾注於外國人身上，就驚奇。因為他們聽見這些人捲舌頭說話，尊崇上帝為大。

我就想起主的話，他怎樣說：「約翰施洗是用水的，但你們呢、卻要在聖靈裏受洗。」這樣，上帝既然將相同之白白的恩給了他們，像我們信服主耶穌基督的時候給了我們一樣，我是誰，能攔阻上帝麼？』眾人聽了這些話，都靜默不言，只將榮耀歸與上帝說：『這樣看來，上帝把悔改以得生命的恩也給了外國人了。』

我又舉目觀看，忽見一個人，手裏拿着量地的繩子。

於是眾人都充滿了聖靈、說起話來，照聖靈給他們去發表的。

有一根葦子彷彿量杖給了我，又有話說：『你起來，量量上帝的殿堂和祭壇、以及其中敬拜的人。

看吧，我要將我父所應許的遣送出去、到你們身上；你們要停留在城裏，直到你們穿上了從高處來的能力。』
