If, however, he makes a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, the servant may keep it until the year of freedom; then it will revert to the prince. His inheritance belongs to his sons only; it is theirs.

But suppose he makes a gift from his share of land to one of his servants. Then the servant may keep it until the Year of Jubilee. After that, it will be returned to the prince. His property may be handed down only to his sons. It belongs to them.

你們要以第五十年為聖年，在你們遍地給一切的居民宣告自由：這一年要給你們做禧年；你們要返回、各歸本地業；要返回、各歸本家。

然而經上是怎麼說的呢？經上是說：『把使女和她兒子趕出去吧；因為使女的兒子是斷不可以跟自主婦人的兒子一同承繼產業的。』所以弟兄們，我們不是使女的兒女，我們乃是自主婦人的兒女了。

他們對主人說：「主啊，他有十個了。」「我告訴你們，凡有的、還要給他；沒有的、連他所有的、也要給奪去。

『就像一個人要出外去，叫了他的奴僕來，把資財交給他們；對一個他給了三萬日工錢，一個一萬二千日工錢，一個六千日工錢；各照各自的才能；他就出外去了。那領三萬的隨即去，用銀子作買賣，另外賺了三萬。那領一萬二千的也是這樣，另外賺了一萬二千。惟獨那領六千的去掘了地，把他主人的銀子藏了。過了許久，那些奴僕的主人來了，和他們算賬。那領三萬的上前來，另外帶了三萬，說：「主啊，你交給我三萬；請看，我另外賺了三萬了。」他主人對他說：「好，又良善又可靠的奴僕，你在少的上頭可靠，我要委派你管理多的；進入你主人的喜樂吧！」那領一萬二千的也上前來，說：「主啊，你交給我一萬二千；請看，我另外賺了一萬二千了。」他主人對他說：「好，又良善又可靠的奴僕，你在少的上頭可靠，我要委派你管理多的；進入你主人的喜樂吧！」那領了六千的也上前來，說：「主啊，我知道你是苛刻的人，沒有撒種的地方你就收割；沒有簸散的地方你就收集，我害怕了就去，把你的六千藏在地裏；請看，這屬你的銀子、你還拿得着呢。」他主人回答他說：「又惡又懶的奴僕，你既知道我沒有撒種的地方就收割，沒有簸散的地方就收集，那你就該把我的銀子投在錢商那裏，我來的時候、可以把屬我的錢連利息都收回來呀。把這六千奪過來，給那有六萬的。因為凡有的，還要給他，他就充足有餘；沒有的，連他所有的，也要給奪去。
