既崇事偶像、誘以色列族陷於愆尤、故我耶和華指己而誓、必加以罪、

主天主曰、利未人、曾於偶像前為民供役事、使以色列族陷於罪愆、故我發誓必罰之、使負罪愆、

But because they served them in the presence of their idols and made the people of Israel fall into sin, therefore I have sworn with uplifted hand that they must bear the consequences of their sin, declares the Sovereign Lord.

But these Levites served the people of Israel. They served while the Israelites were worshiping the statues of their gods. They made the people fall into sin. So I raised my hand and made a promise. I warned them that I would punish them because of their sin,” announces the Lord and King.

Because they ministered to them before their idols and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I have sworn concerning them, declares the Lord God, and they shall bear their punishment.

But they encouraged my people to worship idols, causing Israel to fall into deep sin. So I have taken a solemn oath that they must bear the consequences for their sins, says the Sovereign Lord.

Because they ministered to the house of Israel before their idols and became a sinful stumbling block to them, therefore I swore an oath against them”— this is the declaration of the Lord GOD—“ that they would bear the consequences of their iniquity.

亞哈斯王在大馬士革見亞述王提革拉·毗列色的時候，看到一座壇，便派人將壇的模型和詳細的製造方法送到烏利亞祭司那裡。烏利亞祭司按照送來的模型，在亞哈斯王返回之前建造了一座壇。王從大馬士革回來，看見那座壇，就到上面獻祭。他在上面獻上燔祭、素祭和奠祭，又將平安祭祭牲的血灑在壇上。他把獻給耶和華的銅壇從耶和華的殿前搬到新壇的北邊，銅壇原來放在殿和新壇之間。他吩咐烏利亞祭司：「要在這座大壇上獻早晨的燔祭、晚上的素祭，王的燔祭、素祭，國中民眾的燔祭、素祭和奠祭，燔祭牲和平安祭牲的血也要灑在上面，但銅壇要供我個人求問之用。」烏利亞祭司遵命而行。

因此，祂舉手起誓要使他們倒斃在曠野，

「人子啊，這些人在心裡立起偶像，把導致犯罪的絆腳石放在自己面前，我豈能讓他們來求問？你告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『任何以色列人若在心裡立起偶像，把導致犯罪的絆腳石放在自己面前，又來求問先知，我耶和華必按他心中假神的數目親自用懲罰回答他，

我在曠野起誓要把他們驅散到列國，分散到列邦，

我在曠野曾向他們發誓，不帶他們進入我賜給他們的那奶蜜之鄉，那世上最佳美的地方，

「『以色列人走入歧途時，有些利未人也遠離我、追隨偶像，他們必須承擔自己犯罪的後果。

我剛才所見的那位腳踏海洋和陸地的天使向天舉起右手，憑著活到永永遠遠、創造天地海洋和其中一切的上帝起誓說：「必不再耽延了。

我向天伸手，憑我的永恆起誓，我要磨快閃亮的劍，主持公道，報應仇敵，懲罰恨我的人。我要使我的箭飽飲鮮血，被殺被擄之人的血；我的劍要吞噬人肉，敵人將領的肉。』

你們為什麼蔑視獻給我的祭物和供品？你為什麼把你的兒子看得比我還重要，拿我以色列子民所獻的上好祭物來養肥自己？』「所以，以色列的上帝耶和華宣告說，『我曾經應許讓你們家族永遠做我的祭司。』但現在耶和華宣佈，『這絕不可能了。尊重我的，我必尊重他；藐視我的，必遭藐視。

這些帶領者使百姓步入歧途、走向滅亡。

那日我向他們起誓，要帶領他們離開埃及，到我為他們預備的奶蜜之鄉，世上最佳美的地方。

我的子民因不認識我而遭毀滅。因為你們拒絕認識我，我也要拒絕讓你們做我的祭司；因為你們忘記我的律法，我也要忘記你們的兒女。

當我引領他們進入我曾起誓要賜給他們的土地時，他們在所見的每一處高山或密林獻祭，焚燒馨香的祭牲，向偶像奠酒，惹我發怒。

他們不得走近我，不可做我的祭司，也不得走近我的聖物或至聖之物，他們必因自己的可憎行徑蒙羞。

耶和華憑以色列的榮耀起誓：「我決不會忘記你們的所作所為。

「祭司啊，要聽！以色列家啊，要留心聽！王室啊，要側耳聽！這是對你們的審判，因為你們像設在米斯巴的圈套，鋪在他泊山的網羅。

然而，你們卻偏離正道，你們的教導使許多人跌倒，破壞了我和利未所立的約。」這是萬軍之耶和華說的。「因此，我必使你們在眾人面前遭藐視、輕賤。因為你們不遵守我的道，在教導上偏心待人。」
