门内有守卫室，长度和宽度都是一竿。室与室之间相距二点二米，通往圣殿的内门洞宽一竿，

守卫室、墙柱上和门廊周围都有格子窗，墙柱上刻着棕树。

东门内共有六间守卫室，每边三间，大小面积都是一样，两边的墙尺寸也相同。

两边守卫室前面的矮墙高五十厘米，守卫室都是三米宽的正方形。

于是，希西迦下令在耶和华的殿里预备库房。他们预备好后，

就为多比雅预备了一个大房间，这房间从前用来存放素祭、乳香、器皿，按律法给利未人、歌乐手、殿门守卫的十分之一五谷、新酒和新油，以及给祭司的举祭。

通道两边各有三间守卫室，墙和廊子长度和宽度跟东门一样，分别是二十五米和十二点五米。它的窗户、门廊、墙柱上雕刻的棕树都和东门的尺寸相同。登上七级石阶便到达门口，通道的尽头是门廊。

巴录来到耶和华殿新门入口处的上院，在沙番的儿子书记基玛利雅的房间，向众人宣读耶利米写在卷轴上的话。

下令洁净那些房间，然后搬回上帝殿内的器皿、素祭和乳香。

“你去利甲族那里，邀请他们到耶和华殿的一间厢房，给他们酒喝。”于是，我将哈巴洗尼雅的孙子、雅利米雅的儿子雅撒尼亚，以及雅撒尼亚的弟兄和儿子等利甲全族的人，领到耶和华的殿，进入上帝的仆人伊基大利之子哈难众儿子的房间。这房间靠近官长的房间，在殿门守卫沙龙的儿子玛西雅的房间上面。

大卫将殿的走廊、房舍、库房、楼房、内室和安放施恩座的圣所的图样都交给所罗门，又将心里构想的耶和华殿的院子、四周的房屋、殿的库房和圣物库房的图样都交给他。
