The alcoves and the projecting walls inside the gateway were surmounted by narrow parapet openings all around, as was the portico; the openings all around faced inward. The faces of the projecting walls were decorated with palm trees.

每個守衛室前面都有矮牆，高五十公分，兩邊守衛室都是一樣。守衛室長三公尺，兩邊都是一樣。

他量了殿院空地後面的屋子，連同屋子兩邊的走廊，共長五十公尺。外殿、內殿、朝向內院的門廊、門檻、小窗和對著門檻的三層走廊，周圍都鑲上木板，從地面直到窗口。窗戶都是遮蔽的；

這些房子一排對著內院十公尺寬的空地，一排對著外院的鋪石地，在三層樓上，都有走廊對著走廊。

在耶路撒冷靠近羊門有一個水池，希伯來話叫作畢士大，池邊有五條走廊。

都刻上基路伯和棕樹。基路伯和棕樹相間並排，每個基路伯都有兩個臉孔。

這些事以後，我觀看，見有一大群人，沒有人能數得過來，是從各邦國、各支派、各民族、各方言來的。他們都站在寶座和羊羔面前，身穿白袍，手裡拿著棕樹枝。

我們現在是對著鏡子觀看，模糊不清，到那時就要面對面了。我現在所知道的只是一部分，到那時就完全知道了，好像主完全知道我一樣。
