“ But I will make a new covenant with the whole nation of Israel after I plant them back in the land,” says the LORD.“ I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts and minds. I will be their God and they will be my people.

“‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: When I regather the house of Israel from the peoples where they are dispersed, I will reveal my sovereign power over them in the sight of the nations, and they will live in their land that I gave to my servant Jacob.

Then you will again be my people and I will be your God.Just watch! The wrath of the LORD will come like a storm. Like a raging storm it will rage down on the heads of those who are wicked.

They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, in which your fathers lived; they will live in it– they and their children and their grandchildren forever. David my servant will be prince over them forever.

so that the house of Israel will no longer go astray from me, nor continue to defile themselves by all their sins. They will be my people and I will be their God, declares the sovereign LORD.’”

‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living!”

Then I will bring the remaining third into the fire; I will refine them like silver is refined and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name and I will answer; I will say,‘ These are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The LORD is my God.’”

I am my lover’s and my lover is mine; he grazes among the lilies.

And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said,“ I will live in them and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”Therefore“ come out from their midst, and be separate,” says the Lord,“ and touch no unclean thing, and I will welcome you,and I will be a father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,” says the All- Powerful Lord.Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that could defile the body and the spirit, and thus accomplish holiness out of reverence for God.

( 2: 1) However, in the future the number of the people of Israel will be like the sand of the sea which can be neither measured nor numbered. Although it was said to them,“ You are not my people,” it will be said to them,“ You are children of the living God!”

I will multiply your people– the whole house of Israel, all of it. The cities will be populated and the ruins rebuilt.

The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying:“ Look! The residence of God is among human beings. He will live among them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them.

Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, because I sent them into exile among the nations, and then gathered them into their own land. I will not leave any of them in exile any longer.

“ For this is the covenant that I will establish with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and I will inscribe them on their hearts. And I will be their God and they will be my people.

But as it is, they aspire to a better land, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
