彼至異邦、玩瀆我名、自稱耶和華之民、出於聖地、

彼至所往之異邦、使我聖名被褻瀆、蓋人指彼言、此乃耶和華之民、出於耶和華之地、

And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name, for it was said of them,‘ These are the Lord’s people, and yet they had to leave his land.’

They treated my name as if it were not holy. They did it everywhere they went among the nations. People said about them,‘ They are the Lord’ s people. But they were forced to leave his land.’

But when they came to the nations, wherever they came, they profaned my holy name, in that people said of them,‘ These are the people of the Lord, and yet they had to go out of his land.’

But when they were scattered among the nations, they brought shame on my holy name. For the nations said,‘ These are the people of the Lord, but he couldn’t keep them safe in his own land!’

When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned my holy name, because it was said about them,‘ These are the people of the LORD, yet they had to leave his land in exile.’

“你没有留意列国的人民说什么吗？他们说：‘耶和华所拣选的这两个家族，他已经弃绝了。’他们藐视我的子民，不再把他们看为一个国家。

摩西就恳求耶和华他的神施恩，说：“耶和华啊，你为什么向你的人民发烈怒呢？这人民是你用大能和全能的手从埃及地领出来的。为什么让埃及人议论，说：‘把他们领出来是出于恶意的，要在山上杀死他们，在地上消灭他们’呢？求你回心转意，不发烈怒；求你改变初衷，不降祸给你的人民。求你记念你的仆人亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各；你曾经指着自己向他们起誓，说：‘我必使你的后裔增多，好像天上的星一样；我必把我应许的这全地赐给你的后裔，他们必永远承受这地作产业。’”

迦南人和这地所有的居民听见了，就必围困我们，把我们的名字从这世上剪除，那时你为你的大名要怎样行呢？”

然而我却要留下他们少数的人，免受刀剑、饥荒和瘟疫之害，好使他们在所到的列国中，述说他们一切可憎恶的事，他们就知道我是耶和华。”

这些国家所有的神，有哪一个曾解救他自己的国家脱离我的手呢？难道耶和华能解救耶路撒冷脱离我的手吗？’”

也不要让希西家欺骗你们去信赖耶和华说：耶和华一定会解救我们，这城必不会交在亚述王的手中。

现在如果你把这人民杀死，像杀死一人，那些听见你名声的万国就必议论说：‘因为耶和华不能把这民领进他向他们起誓应许的地，所以在旷野把他们杀了。’

现在，如果你们想清楚，一听见角、笛、琵琶、弦琴、竖琴、风笛和各种乐器的声音，就俯伏向我所做的像下拜，那还可以。如果你们不下拜，就必立刻扔在烈火的窑中。哪里有神能救你们脱离我的手呢？”

“你们要对犹大王希西家说：‘不要让你所信靠的神欺骗你说：耶路撒冷不会交在亚述王的手中。看哪，你听过亚述列王怎样对付列国，把它们完全毁灭，你会得着解救吗？我祖先所消灭的民族，就是歌散人、哈兰人、利色人和在提．拉撒的伊甸人，他们的神可曾解救他们吗？
