“ Son of man, the people of Israel used to live in their own land. But they made it‘ unclean’ because of how they acted and the way they lived. To me they were‘ unclean’ like a woman having her monthly period.

“ Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds. Their ways before me were like the uncleanness of a woman in her menstrual impurity.

“ Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by the evil way they lived. To me their conduct was as unclean as a woman’s menstrual cloth.

“ Son of man, while the house of Israel lived in their land, they defiled it with their conduct and actions. Their behavior before me was like menstrual impurity.

我帶領你們進入肥沃之地，享受那裡富饒的物產。但你們一進來，就玷污我的地，使我的產業成為可憎之地。

耶和華說：「如果丈夫休掉妻子，妻子離去另嫁別人，前夫怎會再娶她呢？那樣做豈不完全玷污了土地嗎？你曾與許多情人苟合，現在要歸向我嗎？「你舉目看看那些光禿的高山，哪裡沒有被你玷污過呢？你坐在路旁等候情郎，就像曠野的遊牧者，你的淫亂惡行玷污了土地。

你們起來走吧！這裡不再是你們的安居之地！因為這裡已遭玷污，被徹底毀壞。

首先，我要讓他們因自己的罪與惡而受加倍的報應，因為他們用沒有生命氣息的可憎偶像玷污我的土地，使可厭之物充滿我的產業。」

我們的善行不過像骯髒的衣服，我們都像污穢的人，像漸漸枯乾的葉子，我們的罪惡像風一樣把我們吹去。

「你們不可做這些事玷污自己。因為我要在你們面前趕走的各國正是因為這些行為而玷污了自己。他們居住的土地也都被玷污了，所以我因他們的罪惡而懲罰那片土地，我要使那片土地吐出他們。你們必須遵守我的律例和典章。不論你們還是寄居在你們中間的外族人，都不可做這些可憎之事。因為在你們之前居住在那裡的人做了這些可憎之事，玷污了那片土地。如果你們玷污了那片土地，它也會像吐出從前的居民一樣把你們吐出去。

他們把自己的兒女當祭物獻給鬼魔，他們把自己的兒女獻給迦南的神像作祭物，流他們兒女無辜的血，玷污了那地方。

這樣，你們就不致玷污你們所居住的土地，因為血會玷污土地。除非用兇手的血作抵償，否則被血玷污的土地無法得到潔淨。不可玷污你們所居住的土地，因為這是我居住的地方，我耶和華住在以色列人中間。』」

大地被世人玷污，他們違犯律法，不守律例，背棄永遠的約。

以色列肆意淫亂，拜石頭木頭，玷污了土地。

「女人在月經期間，要不潔淨七天。凡接觸到她的人都不潔淨，要等到傍晚才能潔淨。月經期間，她躺過或坐過的東西都不潔淨。凡碰過她床的人都不潔淨，必須洗衣、沐浴，等到傍晚才能潔淨。人若碰到她坐過的地方，也不潔淨，必須洗衣、沐浴，等到傍晚才能潔淨。不論是她的床，還是她坐的東西，碰到的人都不潔淨，要等到傍晚才能潔淨。男人若與她同房，沾染了她的經血，就要不潔淨七天，他躺過的床也不潔淨。「女人若在經期以外多日血漏或經期過長，在此期間便不潔淨，像在經期內一樣。在血漏期間，她躺的床或坐的東西都不潔淨，像在經期內一樣。凡碰到這些東西的人都不潔淨，必須洗衣、沐浴，等到傍晚才能潔淨。血漏停止後，她要等七天才潔淨。第八天，她要把兩隻斑鳩或雛鴿帶到會幕門口，交給祭司獻祭，一隻作贖罪祭，一隻作燔祭。這樣，祭司便在耶和華面前為她贖了血漏的不潔之罪。你們要使以色列人遠離不潔之物，免得他們因玷污我的聖幕而死亡。」以上是為患漏症的人，包括遺精、行經的女人、患漏症的男女、與不潔淨女人同房的男人所設立的條例。
