I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd.

他们却要事奉耶和华—他们的神，事奉我为他们所兴起的大卫王。”

伯利恒的以法他啊，你在犹大诸城中虽小，将来必有一位从你那里出来，在以色列中为我作掌权者；他的根源自亘古，从太初就有。因此，耶和华要将以色列人交给敌人，直到临产的妇人生下孩子；那时，他其余的弟兄必回到以色列人那里。他必倚靠耶和华的大能，倚靠耶和华—他神之名的威严，站立并牧养，使他们安然居住；因为现在他必尊大，直到地极。这位就是和平。当亚述侵入我们领土，践踏我们宫殿时，我们就立七个牧者，八个领袖攻击它。

当侧耳而听，来到我这里；要听，就必存活。我要与你们立永约，就是应许给大卫那可靠的慈爱。看哪，我已立他作万民的见证，立他作万民的君王和发令者。

到了大牧人显现的时候，你们必得到那永不衰残、荣耀的冠冕。

但愿赐平安的神，就是那凭永约之血，把群羊的大牧人—我们主耶稣从死人中领出来的神，

从耶西的残干必长出嫩枝，他的根所抽的枝子必结果实。

你们从前好像迷路的羊，如今却归回你们灵魂的牧人和监督了。

后来以色列人必归回，寻求耶和华—他们的神和他们的王大卫。在末后的日子，他们必敬畏耶和华，领受他的恩惠。

我必设立牧人照管他们，牧养他们。他们不再惧怕，不再惊惶，没有一个失丧的。这是耶和华说的。“看哪，日子将到，我要为大卫兴起公义的苗裔；他必掌王权，行事有智慧，在地上施行公平和公义。这是耶和华说的。在他的日子，犹大必得救，以色列也安然居住。他的名必称为‘耶和华—我们的义’。

“我—耶稣差遣我的使者，为了众教会向你们证明这些事。我是大卫的根，是他的后裔；我是明亮的晨星。”

万军之耶和华说：刀剑哪，兴起攻击我的牧人，攻击我的同伴吧！要击打牧人，羊就分散了；我必反手攻击那微小的。

智慧人的话语如同刺棒；这些嘉言好像钉稳的钉子，都是一个牧者所赐的。
