我言惡人必死、如爾不言以警惡人、使改悔其行、則惡人必死於罪、而其喪命之罪、我必責問於爾、而其喪命之罪我必責問於爾原文作而其血必討於爾手

我对恶人说：‘恶人哪，你必要死！’你以西结若不开口警戒恶人，使他离开所行的道，这恶人必死在罪孽之中，我却要向你讨他丧命的罪。

我若指着惡人說：「你必定死」，你若不告訴惡人而警告他離開他的行徑，那麼這惡人就必死在他的罪孽中，而流他血的罪呢、我卻要從你手裏追討。

我語惡人曰、惡者乎、爾必死、如爾不警之、使離其道、惡人必死於其罪、而我必索其血於爾、

我謂惡人必死、以告乎爾、如爾不示之、使彼悛改、則惡人將死於罪、而爾不能免於刑罰、

When I say to the wicked,‘ You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.

Suppose I say to a sinful person,‘ You can be sure that you will die.’ And suppose you do not try to get them to change their ways. Then they will die because they have sinned. And I will hold you responsible for their death.

If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.

If I announce that some wicked people are sure to die and you fail to tell them to change their ways, then they will die in their sins, and I will hold you responsible for their deaths.

If I say to the wicked,‘ Wicked one, you will surely die,’ but you do not speak out to warn him about his way, that wicked person will die for his iniquity, yet I will hold you responsible for his blood.

故我今日、向爾明證、爾曹有人沈淪、罪不在我、原文作爾眾之血於我無與蓋天主之旨、我悉以告爾、一無所隱、

我言惡人必死、如彼悔改其罪、為義行善、

世人俱屬我、為父者屬我、為子者亦屬我、惟犯罪者必死、

如守望者見刃將至、不吹角、致民不警備、刃至殺其中一人、則彼死於罪中、而其喪命之罪、我必討問於守望者、

其父殘暴、或作其父因行欺壓之事強奪同族、行惡在其民間、則必因罪死亡、

禍哉惡人、必遭災害、必循其手所作而受報、

惟犯罪之人必死、子不負父罪、父不負子罪、善人之善歸己、惡人之惡歸已、

我父死於曠野、未曾在逆主之可拉黨中、彼為己罪死而不遺子、

我耶利米曰、哀哉、主天主歟、眾先知曾告斯民曰、爾必不見鋒刃、不遭饑饉、主必使爾於斯地永享平康、主諭我曰、彼諸先知、假託我名預言、我未嘗遣之、未嘗命之、未嘗諭之、彼以虛偽之默示、卜筮妄誕、及己心之詐譎、傳於爾曹以為預言、今主論彼先知如是云、彼託我名預言、我未嘗遣之、彼曰、斯地必無鋒刃饑饉之災、彼先知必因鋒刃饑饉而滅、聽其預言之民、必遭鋒刃饑饉之災、屍擲耶路撒冷街衢、無人葬埋、妻室子女皆然、蓋我必循其惡而報之、

彼輕遽醫我民之傷曰、平康、平康、而無平康、彼行可惡之事、知慚愧乎、彼毫不慚愧、不羞恥、故必傾仆於傾仆者之中、我鑒察之時、必顛蹶、主言之矣、○主曰、我必盡滅斯民、葡萄樹必無葡萄、無花果樹必無無花果、枝葉盡枯、我所賜之物、悉使無有、

惟區別善惡之樹、其果不可食、食之日必死、○

蛇對婦曰、爾曹未必死、

惡人不敬畏天主、終不得享福、雖長壽、不為長壽、如虛影而已、

惟彼先知言得默示、悉屬妄誕、占卜皆屬虛偽、我必降之以罰、不得立於我民之會、不得錄於以色列之册、不得入於以色列之地、爾則知我乃主天主、因彼誘惑我民、無平康之時、反言有平康、猶如我民築墻、彼乃塗灰、

如彼有有原文作生子、為盜殺人、以上所言之善不作、所言之惡反作、食於山上獻偶像之祭物、淫人之妻、

惡人歷世、無不受罰、善人苗裔、必得脫免、或作惡人後嗣不得免罪善人苗裔必得拯救
