倘若守望者见刀剑临到，却不吹角，以致百姓未受警戒，刀剑来杀了他们中间的一个人，这人虽然因自己的罪孽而死，我却要从守望者的手里讨他的血债。

倘若守望的人见刀剑临到，不吹角，以致民不受警戒，刀剑来杀了他们中间的一个人，他虽然死在罪孽之中，我却要向守望的人讨他丧命的罪。

倘若守望者见刀剑临到，却不吹角，以致百姓未受警戒，刀剑来杀了他们中间的一个人，这人虽然因自己的罪孽而死，我却要从守望者的手里讨他的血债。

但如果守望者看见敌人来攻打而不吹号警告百姓，以致有人被敌人杀了，那人固然是因自己的罪恶而被杀，我却要向这守望者追讨那人被杀的血债。’

但是，那守望的人若见刀剑临到，却不吹响号角，以致人民没有受到警告，刀剑来把他们中间的一个人除灭；那人虽然因自己的罪孽被除灭，我却要因他的死追究守望的人。’

倘若守望的人見刀劍臨到，不吹角，以致民不受警戒，刀劍來殺了他們中間的一個人，他雖然死在罪孽之中，我卻要向守望的人討他喪命的罪。

但是，那守望的人若見刀劍臨到，卻不吹響號角，以致人民沒有受到警告，刀劍來把他們中間的一個人除滅；那人雖然因自己的罪孽被除滅，我卻要因他的死追究守望的人。’

但那守望者若見刀劍臨到，而不吹號角，以致人民沒有受警告，而刀劍遂來除滅他們中間任何人的性命，那麼這人雖因他自己的罪孽而被除滅，然而流他血的罪我卻要從守望者手裏追討。

如戍卒見刃將至、不吹角以警民、刃至而殺人、其人死於其罪、而我必索其血於戍卒、

如戍卒見刃將至、不吹角以警眾、刃至而殺人、則彼死於罪愆、而戍卒亦遭刑罰。

如守望者見刃將至、不吹角、致民不警備、刃至殺其中一人、則彼死於罪中、而其喪命之罪、我必討問於守望者、

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’

But suppose the guard sees the enemies coming. And he does not blow the trumpet to warn the people. The enemies come and kill one of them. Then their life has been taken away from them because they sinned. But I will hold the guard responsible for their death.’

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.

But if the watchman sees the enemy coming and doesn’t sound the alarm to warn the people, he is responsible for their captivity. They will die in their sins, but I will hold the watchman responsible for their deaths.’

However, suppose the watchman sees the sword coming but doesn’t blow the ram’s horn, so that the people aren’t warned, and the sword comes and takes away their lives. Then they have been taken away because of their iniquity, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the horn and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away for his wrongdoing; but I will require his blood from the watchman’s hand.’

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’

But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned, and the sword come, and take any person from among them; he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.

更何况恶人把义人杀在他家的床上，我岂不从你们手中追讨他的血，从地上除灭你们吗？”

我何时指着恶人说：‘他必要死’；你若不警戒他，也不劝告他，使他离开恶行，拯救他的性命，这恶人必死在罪孽之中；我却要从你手里讨他的血债。倘若你警戒恶人，他仍不转离罪恶，也不离开恶行，他必死在罪孽之中，你却救了自己的命。但是义人若转离他的义而作恶，我要把绊脚石放在他面前，他必死亡；因你没有警戒他，他必死在罪中，他素来所行的义不被记念；我却要从你手里讨他的血债。

惟有犯罪的，却必死亡。儿子不担当父亲的罪孽，父亲也不担当儿子的罪孽。义人的善果要归自己，恶人的恶报也要归自己。

我对恶人说：‘恶人哪，你必要死！’你若不开口警戒恶人，使他离开所行的道，这恶人必因自己的罪孽而死，我却要从你手里讨他的血债。但是你，你若警戒恶人，叫他离弃所行的道，他仍不转离，他必因自己的罪孽而死，你却救了自己的命。”

吕便回答他们说：“我不是对你们说过，不可伤害那孩子吗？只是你们不肯听，看哪，他的血在追讨了。”

流你们血、害你们命的，我必向他追讨；我要向一切走兽追讨，向人和向人的弟兄追讨人命。

主耶和华如此说：看哪，我必与牧人为敌，从他们手里讨回我的羊，使他们不再牧放群羊；牧人也不再喂养自己。我必救我的羊脱离他们的口，不再作他们的食物。”

至于义人，他若转离义行而作恶，照着恶人所做一切可憎的事去做，岂能存活呢？他所行的一切义都不被记念；反而因所行的恶、所犯的罪死亡。

于是耶稣又对他们说：“我去了，你们会找我，而你们会死在自己的罪中；我所去的地方，你们不能去。”犹太人说：“他说‘我所去的地方，你们不能去’，难道他要自杀吗？”耶稣对他们说：“你们是从下面来的，我是从上面来的；你们是属这世界的，我不是属这世界的。所以我对你们说，你们会死在自己的罪中，你们若不信我就是那位，就会死在自己的罪中。”

以色列的守望者都瞎了眼，没有知识；都是哑狗，不会吠叫，只知做梦，躺卧，贪睡，这些狗贪食，不知饱足。这些牧人不知明辨，他们都偏行己路，人人追求自己的利益。

恶人因所行的恶必被推倒；义人临死，有所投靠。
