因此，我們必須更加重視所聽的道，以免隨流漂去。既然藉天使傳下來的話正確無誤，凡干犯、違背的人都受到了應有的報應，我們若忽略了這麼大的救恩，怎能逃避懲罰呢？這救恩首先由主親口宣講出來，後來由聽見的人向我們證實了。

因為祂是我們的上帝，我們是祂照管的子民，是祂牧放的羊群。你們今日若聽見祂的聲音，

你們要追想你們的祖先亞伯拉罕和生你們的撒拉。我呼召亞伯拉罕的時候，他是孤身一人，但我賜福給他，使他子孫眾多。

他們說：「我們的父就是亞伯拉罕！」耶穌說：「你們如果真是亞伯拉罕的子孫，一定會做他所做的事。

以色列王派人到上帝的僕人所說的地方，警告那裡的人要小心防備。這樣的事情發生了好幾次。
