Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou[ art] as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.

“人子啊，你要为埃及王法老作哀歌，说：从前你在列国中，如同少壮狮子；现在你却像海中的大鱼。你冲出江河，用爪搅动诸水，使江河浑浊。

“人子啊，你要为埃及王法老作哀歌，说：你在列国中，如同少壮狮子，却像海里的海怪，冲出江河，以爪搅动诸水，使江河浑浊。

“人子啊，你要为埃及王法老唱哀歌，对他说，“‘你自认为是列邦中的雄狮，其实你像激荡江河、用脚把江河搅浑的海怪。

“人子啊！你要为埃及王法老作一首哀歌，对他说：‘你像列国中的少壮狮子，又像海中的海怪，你在河中翻腾，用你的爪搅动河水，使江河浑浊。

「人子啊，你要為埃及王法老作哀歌，說：從前你在列國中，如同少壯獅子；現在你卻像海中的大魚。你衝出江河，用爪攪動諸水，使江河渾濁。

「人子啊，你要為埃及王法老作哀歌，說：你在列國中，如同少壯獅子，卻像海裏的海怪，衝出江河，以爪攪動諸水，使江河渾濁。

「人子啊，你要為埃及王法老唱哀歌，對他說，『你自認為是列邦中的雄獅，其實你像激蕩江河、用腳把江河攪渾的海怪。

“人子啊！你要為埃及王法老作一首哀歌，對他說：‘你像列國中的少壯獅子，又像海中的海怪，你在河中翻騰，用你的爪攪動河水，使江河渾濁。

『人子啊，你要為埃及王舉哀唱歌，對他說：『列國中的少壯獅子啊，你可完啦！你，你像海中的鱷魚；卻在你的江河裏衝激着，用你的腳攪濁了水，踹渾了眾水的江河。

人子歟、當為埃及王法老作哀歌、謂曰、爾於列國中、昔若壯獅、今若海中之鱷、衝突於爾河、以足攪水、使河渾濁、

人子、當為埃及王法老作哀歌、告之曰爾若獅之伏於民間、若鱷之居於海中、出入江河、足亂波濤、使水混濁、

“ Son of man, take up a lament concerning Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him:“‘ You are like a lion among the nations; you are like a monster in the seas thrashing about in your streams, churning the water with your feet and muddying the streams.

“ Son of man, sing a song of sadness about Pharaoh Hophra, the king of Egypt. Tell him,“‘ You are like a lion among the nations. You are like a monster in the sea. You move around wildly in your rivers. You churn the water with your feet. You make the streams muddy.’ ”

“ Son of man, raise a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him:“ You consider yourself a lion of the nations, but you are like a dragon in the seas; you burst forth in your rivers, trouble the waters with your feet, and foul their rivers.

“ Son of man, mourn for Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and give him this message:“ You think of yourself as a strong young lion among the nations, but you are really just a sea monster, heaving around in your own rivers, stirring up mud with your feet.

“ Son of man, lament for Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him,‘ You compare yourself to a lion of the nations, but you are like a monster in the seas. You thrash about in your rivers, churn up the waters with your feet, and muddy the rivers.

“ Son of man, take up a song of mourning over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him,‘ You compared yourself to a young lion of the nations, Yet you are like the monster in the seas; And you burst forth in your rivers And muddied the waters with your feet And fouled their rivers.’ ”

“ Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him:‘ You are like a young lion among the nations, And you are like a monster in the seas, Bursting forth in your rivers, Troubling the waters with your feet, And fouling their rivers.

Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou wast likened unto a young lion of the nations: yet art thou as a monster in the seas; and thou didst break forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.

“ Son of man, lament for Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him: You compare yourself to a lion of the nations, but you are like a monster in the seas. You thrash about in your rivers, churn up the waters with your feet, and muddy the rivers.”

“ Son of man, sing a lament for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him:“‘ You were like a lion among the nations, but you are a monster in the seas; you thrash about in your streams, stir up the water with your feet, and muddy your streams.

‘ Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and tell him,“ You were likened to a young lion of the nations; yet you are as a monster in the seas. You broke out with your rivers, and troubled the waters with your feet, and fouled their rivers.”

Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I[ am] against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river[ is] mine own, and I have made[ it] for myself.

Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;

Where[ is] the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion,[ even] the old lion, walked,[ and] the lion’s whelp, and none made[ them] afraid?The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.Behold, I[ am] against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

[ Seemeth it] a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?

Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

This[ is] the lamentation wherewith they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shall lament for her,[ even] for Egypt, and for all her multitude, saith the Lord GOD.

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that[ is] in the sea.

Moreover take thou up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,And say, What[ is] thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions.And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.Now when she saw that she had waited,[ and] her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps,[ and] made him a young lion.And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and learned to catch the prey,[ and] devoured men.

Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate;[ and] thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old.[ Art] thou not it that hath cut Rahab,[ and] wounded the dragon?

And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee,[ saying], What[ city is] like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?

Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down,[ even] her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.

Judah[ is] a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?

And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.

He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed[ is] he that blesseth thee, and cursed[ is] he that curseth thee.

[ As] a roaring lion, and a ranging bear;[ so is] a wicked ruler over the poor people.

Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces,[ and] gavest him[ to be] meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

Egypt riseth up like a flood, and[ his] waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up,[ and] will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.
