我必使巴比倫王的膀臂有力量，將我的刀交於他手中；法老的膀臂我卻要打斷，他就必在巴比倫王面前哼出死傷人那樣的唉哼。

堅巴比倫王之肱、付我刃於其手、折法老之肱、使呻吟於其前、若人受重傷然、

使巴比倫王膂力剛強、俾執我刃、折法老二肱使其嘆息於敵前、若人被重傷、而嘆息焉。

我必堅巴比倫王之臂、以我刃付於其手、我必折法老之臂、使其嘆息於巴比倫王前、若受傷者之嘆息然、使其嘆息於巴比倫王前若受傷者之嘆息然或作法老既受重傷必嘆息於巴比倫王前

I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a mortally wounded man.

I will make the arms of the king of Babylon stronger. I will put my sword in his hand. But I will break the arms of Pharaoh. And he will groan in front of Nebuchadnezzar. He will cry out like someone dying from his wounds.

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a man mortally wounded.

I will strengthen the arms of Babylon’s king and put my sword in his hand. But I will break the arms of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he will lie there mortally wounded, groaning in pain.

你們呢、古實人哪，你們也必給我的刀刺殺。

我必助使巴比倫王的膀臂有力量，法老的膀臂卻要下垂。我將我的刀交於巴比倫王手中，他必伸出那刀攻擊埃及地，那時他們就知道我乃是永恆主。

我永恆主所膏立的古列，我拉他的右手，使列國降服在他面前；列王的腰帶我必鬆開；我必使門戶在他面前敞開，使一切大門不得關閉：我永恆主對古列這麼說；

他們都要使我懼怕，意思是說：『他們的手會從這工作上發軟下來，以致工程作不了。』但現在呢、加強我的手吧。

從城裏有臨死的人在唉哼着，有受傷的人在呼救着；上帝卻不理睬惡人的禱告。

我乃是永恆主，再沒有別的神了；除了我以外、並沒有上帝；你雖不認識我，我還給你束腰，

我若磨快了我閃亮的刀，我的手若掌握着審判權，我就必將伸冤報復我的敵人，我必報應恨我的人。我必讓我的箭醉飲鮮血、就是被刺死者和俘虜的血；我的刀必喫肉，喫仇敵的長毛頭目。」

永恆主啊，求你起來，迎面攻擊他，使他屈身而死；用你的刀解救我的性命脫離惡人，

『主永恆主對推羅這麼說：在你中間有大行殺戮的事，受刺傷的人都在唉哼着——那時沿海地帶聽到你傾覆的響聲，豈不都震動麼？

現在呢、是我將這些都交給我僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的手；田野間的走獸呢、我也給他、供他使用。列國都必服事他和他的兒子、孫子，直到他本國之地——甚至是他本人——遭報的時期來到；那時許多國許多大王都必使他做奴僕。『「『將來無論哪一國哪一邦不服事他，不服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，不將脖子放在巴比倫王的軛下的，我必用刀劍、饑荒、和瘟疫、去察罰那國，永恆主發神諭說，直到把他們都交在巴比倫王手中。

就是這以能力給我束腰的上帝；他使我所行的路安全。

永恆主我的磐石乃是當受祝頌的。他教導我的手怎樣接戰，他訓練我的指頭怎樣戰爭。

『永恆主這麼說：我必藉着巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的手使埃及的財富消沒。

你將氣力給我束腰，使我能爭戰；你使那起來攻擊我的屈身死於我腳下。

『故此你看，日子必到，永恆主發神諭說，我必察罰巴比倫的雕像；他全境內受刺傷的人都必哀哼。

他們必經過埃及海；海中波浪必被擊打，尼羅河深處都必乾涸。亞述的狂傲必被抑制，埃及權柄之杖也必消逝。但我必使他們靠着永恆主而堅強，他們都必在他名下出入往來』：永恆主發神諭說。

鑿子哪能向用鑿子的人炫耀自己？鋸子哪能向拉動鋸子的自大？好似棍子掄起那舉起棍子的，好似手杖舉起那不是木頭的呢？

有禍呀，亞述，我怒氣的棍子！他是我忿怒之杖、在我手中。我打發他來攻擊不拜上帝之國，吩咐他來擊打我所惱怒的人民，來擄掠擄掠物，來掠劫掠劫物，使他們被踐踏、像街上的泥土一樣。
