I will dry up the waters of the Nile and sell the land to an evil nation; by the hand of foreigners I will lay waste the land and everything in it. I the Lord have spoken.

And I will dry up the Nile and will sell the land into the hand of evildoers; I will bring desolation upon the land and everything in it, by the hand of foreigners; I am the Lord; I have spoken.

祂斥責大海，使大海乾涸；祂使一切河流枯竭。巴珊和迦密的草木凋零，黎巴嫩的鮮花衰殘。

耶和華說：「我的子民啊，我要為你們伸冤，替你們報仇；我要使巴比倫的江河枯竭，泉源乾涸。

第六位天使將碗倒在幼發拉底大河上，河水立刻乾了，為東方各國的王預備了道路。

耶和華向他們發怒，使他們遭到掠奪者的攻擊和四周仇敵的壓制，毫無抵抗之力。

我必將埃及人交給一位殘忍的主人，一位暴君必統治他們。」這是主——萬軍之耶和華說的。尼羅河必枯竭，河床必乾涸。河流必發臭，埃及的河流逐漸枯竭。蘆荻和燈心草必枯死，尼羅河兩岸青草枯黃，田地龜裂，莊稼被風吹去，蕩然無存。所有在尼羅河下鉤的漁夫都哀哭悲傷，在河上撒網的人都傷痛。紡紗織布的人一籌莫展，感到絕望。埃及的顯貴都沒落，靠工錢維生的人都憂心忡忡。

外族人，就是列邦中最殘暴的人要把它砍倒，丟棄在那裡，它折斷的枝幹散落在山間和河谷中。世上各族都離開它的蔭下，

你要像未受割禮的人那樣死在外族人手中。』這是主耶和華說的。」

我對深海說，『枯乾吧！我要使你的河流乾涸』；

旱災必臨到巴比倫，使那裡的河流乾涸，因為那裡偶像遍地，人們都沉迷於祭拜神像。

使埃及一片荒涼。這樣，他們就知道我是耶和華。因為你說這尼羅河屬於你，是你造的。因此，我要攻擊你和你的河流，使埃及從密奪到色弗尼，一直到古實的邊界全都荒廢。

因為世界和其中的萬物都屬於主。
