你必倒在以色列的众山之上，你所有的军队和跟你在一起的万族，都必这样；我要把你给各种食肉的飞鸟和田野的走兽作食物。

我要使人受困苦，以致他们像瞎子行走，因为他们得罪耶和华。他们的鲜血必倒出，如倒灰尘一样，他们的身体必被遗弃像粪土一般。在耶和华发怒的日子，他们的金银也不能救他们，全地都要被他的妒火吞灭；因为他要彻底毁灭地上所有的居民，真是可怕的毁灭。

你必唱出这首诗歌来讽刺巴比伦王，说：“欺压人的，怎么止息了呢！强暴怎么止住了呢！耶和华折断了恶人的杖和统治者的棒，就是那在忿怒中不住击打众民、在怒气中管辖列国、毫无抑制地施行迫害的。

就是要兴起迦勒底人，那残忍凶暴的民；他们遍行全地，占领别人的家园。他们恐怖可怕，自以为义，趾高气扬。他们的马比豹更快，比晚上的豺狼更猛。他们的骑兵奔驰，自远而来；他们如鹰飞翔，迅速吞噬。他们定着脸面向前，齐来行暴，掳获战俘多如尘沙。

耶和华说：“你是我的铁锤，作我的兵器；我用你们打碎列国，用你毁灭万邦。我用你打碎战马和骑马的，用你打碎战车和坐战车的。我用你打碎男人和妇女，用你打碎老年人和少年人，用你打碎少男和少女。我用你打碎牧人和他的羊群，用你打碎农夫和他的耕牛，用你打碎省长和总监。
