But I will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are.

But I will make you just as stubborn as they are.

Behold, I have made your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.

But look, I have made you as obstinate and hard hearted as they are.

“ I have made your face adamant to match their faces, and your forehead hard to match their foreheads.

Now behold, I have made you today like a fortified city and like a pillar of iron and walls of bronze against the whole land, to the kings of Judah, to its leaders, to its priests, and to the people of the land.

For time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets,who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions,quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection;and others experienced mocking and flogging, and further, chains and imprisonment.They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tempted, they were put to death with the sword; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented

By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he persevered, as though seeing Him who is unseen.

On the other hand, I am filled with power— With the Spirit of the Lord— And with justice and courage To make known to Jacob his rebellious act, And to Israel his sin.

So you are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I Myself will be with your mouth and his mouth, and I will instruct you in what you are to do.He shall speak for you to the people; and he will be as a mouth for you and you will be as God to him.
