But the people of Israel are not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for all the Israelites are hardened and obstinate.

But the people of Israel do not want to listen to you. That is because they do not want to listen to me. All the Israelites are very stubborn.

But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

But the people of Israel won’t listen to you any more than they listen to me! For the whole lot of them are hard hearted and stubborn.

他們面上的表情指證他們的不對；他們像所多瑪一般宣揚自己的罪惡，並不隱瞞；他們有禍了，因為他們自招禍害。

“從猶大王亞們的兒子約西亞第十三年直到今日，這二十三年來，常有耶和華的話臨到我，我也不斷對你們傳講，你們卻不聽從。耶和華雖然不斷差遣他的僕人眾先知到你們那裡去；但你們卻沒有聽從，毫不留心。

他本國的人卻恨他，就派使者跟著去說：‘我們不願意這個人作王統治我們。’

耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷，你殺害先知，又用石頭把奉派到你那裡的人打死。我多次想招聚你的兒女，好像母雞招聚小雞到翅膀底下，只是你們不願意。

所以甘霖停止，春雨不降；你還是一副妓女的面孔（“面孔”原文作“額”），不顧羞恥。

你們要記住我對你們說過的話：‘僕人不能大過主人。’他們若迫害我，也必定迫害你們；他們若遵守我的話，也必定遵守你們的話。但他們因著我的名，要向你們行這一切，因為他們不認識那差我來的。如果我沒有來，也沒有對他們講過甚麼，他們就沒有罪；但現在他們的罪是無可推諉的了。恨我的，也恨我的父。如果我沒有在他們中間作過別人沒有作過的事，他們就沒有罪；但現在我和我的父，他們都看見了，也都恨惡。

因為她所流的血還在城中；她把血潑在光滑的磐石上，不是倒在地上，被塵土掩蓋。

“你奉耶和華的名對我們所說的話，我們不聽從。

耶和華啊！你的眼目不是要看誠實的事嗎？你擊打他們，他們卻不覺得傷痛；你摧毀他們，他們仍不肯接受管教。他們板著臉，臉皮比磐石還硬，總不肯回轉。

雖然我不斷差遣我的僕人眾先知到你們那裡去，說：你們千萬不可行我所恨惡，這可憎的事！他們卻不聽從，毫不留心，不肯離開他們的惡行，仍向別神燒香。

然而你們卻不肯到我這裡來得生命。“我不接受從人而來的稱讚；我知道你們心裡沒有神的愛。我奉我父的名而來，你們不接待我；如果有別人以自己的名義而來，你們倒接待他。你們彼此接受稱讚，卻不尋求從獨一的神而來的稱讚，怎麼能信呢？不要以為我要向父控告你們，有一位控告你們的，就是你們所仰賴的摩西。你們若信摩西，也必信我，因為他所寫的書曾論及我。你們若不信他所寫的，怎能信我的話呢？”

聽從你們的，就是聽從我；棄絕你們的，就是棄絕我；棄絕我的，就是棄絕那差我來的。”
