爾因貿易之盛、遂行強暴、而干罪戾、我則視爾為污、逐爾出上帝之山、展翼之基路伯乎、我滅爾於光輝寶玉之間、

因貿易繁盛、遂至強暴、陷於罪戾、爾既污衊、我必逐爾出我聖岡、不許爾復為𠼻𡀔［口氷］、施其庇護、為燦爛之玉、輝光四照、

爾貿易繁盛、遂充以強暴、因爾得罪、我視爾若被玷污者、我必逐爾出我聖山、覆庇之基路伯歟、我必除滅爾於發火光之寶石中、

Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones.

You traded with many nations. You harmed people everywhere. And you sinned. So I sent you away from my mountain in shame. Guardian angel, I drove you away from among the gleaming jewels.

In the abundance of your trade you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and I destroyed you, O guardian cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Your rich commerce led you to violence, and you sinned. So I banished you in disgrace from the mountain of God. I expelled you, O mighty guardian, from your place among the stones of fire.

Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you, Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it.

For the violence done to Lebanon will cover you, And the plunder of beasts which made them afraid, Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it.

So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

“ Tarshish was your merchant because of your many luxury goods. They gave you silver, iron, tin, and lead for your goods.Javan, Tubal, and Meshech were your traders. They bartered human lives and vessels of bronze for your merchandise.Those from the house of Togarmah traded for your wares with horses, steeds, and mules.The men of Dedan were your traders; many isles were the market of your hand. They brought you ivory tusks and ebony as payment.Syria was your merchant because of the abundance of goods you made. They gave you for your wares emeralds, purple, embroidery, fine linen, corals, and rubies.Judah and the land of Israel were your traders. They traded for your merchandise wheat of Minnith, millet, honey, oil, and balm.Damascus was your merchant because of the abundance of goods you made, because of your many luxury items, with the wine of Helbon and with white wool.Dan and Javan paid for your wares, traversing back and forth. Wrought iron, cassia, and cane were among your merchandise.Dedan was your merchant in saddlecloths for riding.Arabia and all the princes of Kedar were your regular merchants. They traded with you in lambs, rams, and goats.The merchants of Sheba and Raamah were your merchants. They traded for your wares the choicest spices, all kinds of precious stones, and gold.Haran, Canneh, Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Assyria, and Chilmad were your merchants.These were your merchants in choice items— in purple clothes, in embroidered garments, in chests of multicolored apparel, in sturdy woven cords, which were in your marketplace.“ The ships of Tarshish were carriers of your merchandise. You were filled and very glorious in the midst of the seas.Your oarsmen brought you into many waters, But the east wind broke you in the midst of the seas.“ Your riches, wares, and merchandise, Your mariners and pilots, Your caulkers and merchandisers, All your men of war who are in you, And the entire company which is in your midst, Will fall into the midst of the seas on the day of your ruin.The common-land will shake at the sound of the cry of your pilots.“ All who handle the oar, The mariners, All the pilots of the sea Will come down from their ships and stand on the shore.They will make their voice heard because of you; They will cry bitterly and cast dust on their heads; They will roll about in ashes;They will shave themselves completely bald because of you, Gird themselves with sackcloth, And weep for you With bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.In their wailing for you They will take up a lamentation, And lament for you:‘ What city is like Tyre, Destroyed in the midst of the sea?‘ When your wares went out by sea, You satisfied many people; You enriched the kings of the earth With your many luxury goods and your merchandise.But you are broken by the seas in the depths of the waters; Your merchandise and the entire company will fall in your midst.All the inhabitants of the isles will be astonished at you; Their kings will be greatly afraid, And their countenance will be troubled.The merchants among the peoples will hiss at you; You will become a horror, and be no more forever.’”’”

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

“ Proclaim in the palaces at Ashdod, And in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say:‘ Assemble on the mountains of Samaria; See great tumults in her midst, And the oppressed within her.

‘ Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants.You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you( for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled),lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you.

For her rich men are full of violence, Her inhabitants have spoken lies, And their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

And it shall be, at the end of seventy years, that the Lord will deal with Tyre. She will return to her hire, and commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth.Her gain and her pay will be set apart for the Lord; it will not be treasured nor laid up, for her gain will be for those who dwell before the Lord, to eat sufficiently, and for fine clothing.

And He said to those who sold doves,“ Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

They covet fields and take them by violence, Also houses, and seize them. So they oppress a man and his house, A man and his inheritance.

“ A cunning Canaanite! Deceitful scales are in his hand; He loves to oppress.

“ Arise and depart, For this is not your rest; Because it is defiled, it shall destroy, Yes, with utter destruction.

So I will drive you out of your office, And from your position he will pull you down.

Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it,saying to them,“ It is written,‘ My house is a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a‘ den of thieves.’”
