“人子啊，我要突然夺去你心爱的人，你不可悲伤，也不可流泪哭泣。

“人子啊！我要打击你，把你眼中所喜爱的夺去，你却不可悲哀，不可哭泣，也不可流泪。

人子歟、爾目所慕者、我必猝然去之、爾勿悲、勿哭、勿下淚、

人子、我必使爾所愛之妻、忽焉而亡、爾勿哀哭、勿下淚、

人子、我必使爾目之所悅者、忽染疫癘而死、爾勿悲哀、勿號哭、勿下淚、

不要為死了的人哀哭，不要為他悲傷哦；卻要為出外的人大大哀哭，因為他不得以再回來，也不得以再見他本國了。

你們若不聽，我必因你們的驕傲而在暗地裏哭泣；我的眼必痛哭流淚，因為永恆主的羣羊被擄了去。

這樣，我早晨將這事告訴人民，晚上我妻子就死了。次日早晨我便遵命而行。

我屬於我愛人，我愛人所戀慕的也只是我。

可愛的母鹿，秀麗的野山羊；願她的胸時常使你滿足；願她的愛情使你不斷地戀慕。

就有火從永恆主面前發出，燒滅他們，他們就死在永恆主面前。於是摩西對亞倫說：『這就是永恆主告訴我們說的：「在親近我的人中間、我要顯為聖；在各族之民面前、我要得榮耀。」』亞倫默默無言。

『因為永恆主這麼說：你不要進入嚎啕之家，不要去哀哭，不要為他們悲傷；因為我已從這人民身上奪去我的平安、堅愛、和憐憫：這是永恆主發神諭說的。

向永恆主哀叫哦！錫安小姐啊，悲歎哦！願你眼淚直流如河，黑夜白日不讓休息，不讓你眼停止流淚。

不可讓上帝的震怒激動了你去侮慢上帝哦；也不可因贖價大而偏行。

弟兄們，關於長眠着的人、我們不願意你們不明白，只願意你們不憂愁、不像那些沒有指望的會外人一樣。

叫他們趕快為我們舉哀，使我們的眼流下眼淚，使我們的眼皮湧出淚水。

哦，願我的頭為水，願我的眼為眼淚之泉源，我好為我子民中被刺死的人晝夜哭泣。

「你要告訴以色列家說：主永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必使我的聖所、你們勢力所驕矜的、你們眼裏所喜愛的、你們心中所愛惜的、被褻瀆；你們留下的兒女必倒斃於刀下。那時你們要照我所行的去行：不蒙着嘴脣，也不喫居喪者的飯。你們的華美裹頭巾仍要包在頭上，你們的鞋仍要穿在腳上；你們不可號咷哭泣；你們必在你們自己的罪罰中消削淨盡，彼此相對地哀吼。以西結對你們必這樣成了一個兆頭：他怎樣行，你們也要怎樣行：那事來到，你們就知道我乃是主永恆主。」『人子啊，我從他們中間取去——他們所倚靠的保障、他們華美的喜悅物，他們眼裏所喜愛的、心中所仰賴而寄託的、以及他們的兒女、——的日子，

因此永恆主論猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬、是這麼說的：『人必不為他舉哀，好像人舉哀說：「哀啊，我哥哥！」「哀啊，我姐姐！」人必不為他舉哀，好像人舉哀說：「哀啊，主上啊！」「哀啊，陛下呀！」
