“人子啊，我要突然夺去你心爱的人，你不可悲伤，也不可流泪哭泣。

“人子啊！我要打击你，把你眼中所喜爱的夺去，你却不可悲哀，不可哭泣，也不可流泪。

「人子，看哪，我要以災病奪取你眼中所喜愛的，你卻不可悲哀哭泣，也不可流淚，

「人子，看哪，我要以災病奪取你眼中所喜愛的，你卻不可悲哀哭泣，也不可流淚，

「人子啊，我要突然奪去你心愛的人，你不可悲傷，也不可流淚哭泣。

“人子啊！我要打擊你，把你眼中所喜愛的奪去，你卻不可悲哀，不可哭泣，也不可流淚。

『人子啊，你看吧，我要用暴卒病將你眼目所喜愛的取去；你卻不可號咷哭泣，也不可流淚。

人子歟、爾目所慕者、我必猝然去之、爾勿悲、勿哭、勿下淚、

人子、我必使爾所愛之妻、忽焉而亡、爾勿哀哭、勿下淚、

人子、我必使爾目之所悅者、忽染疫癘而死、爾勿悲哀、勿號哭、勿下淚、

“ Son of man, with one blow I am about to take away from you the delight of your eyes. Yet do not lament or weep or shed any tears.

“ Son of man, I will take away from you the wife you delight in. It will happen very soon. But do not sing songs of sadness. Do not let any tears flow from your eyes.

不要為死人哭號；不要為他悲傷，卻要為離家出外的人大大哭號；因為他不得再回來，也不得再見他的本國。

你們若不聽這話，我必因你們的驕傲在暗地哭泣；我眼必痛哭流淚，因為耶和華的羣眾被擄去了。

於是我將這事早晨告訴百姓，晚上我的妻就死了。次日早晨我便遵命而行。

我屬我的良人，他也戀慕我。

她如可愛的麀鹿，可喜的母鹿；願她的胸懷使你時時知足，她的愛情使你常常戀慕。

就有火從耶和華面前出來，把他們燒滅，他們就死在耶和華面前。於是摩西對亞倫說：「這就是耶和華所說：『我在親近我的人中要顯為聖；在眾民面前，我要得榮耀。』」亞倫就默默不言。

耶和華如此說：「不要進入喪家，不要去哀哭，也不要為他們悲傷，因我已將我的平安、慈愛、憐憫從這百姓奪去了。這是耶和華說的。

錫安民的心哀求主。錫安的城牆啊，願你流淚如河，晝夜不息；願你眼中的瞳人淚流不止。

不可容忿怒觸動你，使你不服責罰；也不可因贖價大就偏行。

論到睡了的人，我們不願意弟兄們不知道，恐怕你們憂傷，像那些沒有指望的人一樣。

叫她們速速為我們舉哀，使我們眼淚汪汪，使我們的眼皮湧出水來。

但願我的頭為水，我的眼為淚的泉源，我好為我百姓中被殺的人晝夜哭泣。

『你告訴以色列家，主耶和華如此說：我必使我的聖所，就是你們勢力所誇耀、眼裏所喜愛、心中所愛惜的被褻瀆，並且你們所遺留的兒女必倒在刀下。那時，你們必行我僕人所行的，不蒙着嘴唇，也不吃弔喪的食物。你們仍要頭上勒裹頭巾，腳上穿鞋；不可悲哀哭泣。你們必因自己的罪孽相對歎息，漸漸消滅。以西結必這樣為你們作預兆；凡他所行的，你們也必照樣行。那事來到，你們就知道我是主耶和華。』「人子啊，我除掉他們所倚靠、所歡喜的榮耀，並眼中所喜愛、心裏所重看的兒女。

所以，耶和華論到猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬如此說：人必不為他舉哀說：哀哉！我的哥哥；或說：哀哉！我的姊姊；也不為他舉哀說：哀哉！我的主；或說：哀哉！我主的榮華。
