Then set the empty pot on the coals till it becomes hot and its copper glows, so that its impurities may be melted and its deposit burned away.

褫爾衣裳、奪爾珍寶、如是、我必止爾邪欲、及爾淫行、即在埃及所習者、俾爾不舉目望之、不復記憶埃及、

若人以金銀寶石、草木禾稿、建於基上、各工必顯、至日乃彰、蓋以火昭著、各工如何、火必驗之、

攻爾之迦勒底人、爾縱擊其全軍、惟遺受創者於其中、彼必自幕而起、火焚斯邑、○

我必散爾於列國、分爾於異邦、消除爾之污衊、爾必於異邦人前、身受侮辱、則知我乃耶和華、○耶和華諭我曰、人子歟、我視以色列家為渣滓、彼在爐中、若銅鐵錫鉛、為銀之渣滓、主耶和華曰、因爾成為渣滓、我必集爾於耶路撒冷、猶人集銀銅鐵鉛錫於爐、吹火以鎔之、如是我必震怒、發忿集爾、置於其中而鎔之、我必集爾、以我烈怒之火、吹及爾身、鎔爾於其中、猶鎔銀於爐中、爾鎔於其中、則知我耶和華傾怒於爾、○耶和華諭我曰、

以清水灑爾、使爾為潔、滌爾諸污、除爾所有之偶像、

措手於爾、盡鍊爾渣滓、悉去爾雜質、

凡違逆干罪於我者、必去之於爾中、導出所旅之邦、而不得歸以色列地、爾則知我乃耶和華、

如爾不出降於巴比倫王之牧伯、是邑必付於迦勒底人手、焚之以火、爾亦不得脫於其手、

眾必擊之以石、殺之以刃、戮其子女、焚其第宅、如是、必止淫行於斯土、以訓眾女、不效爾之行淫、

雅各之愆得宥、其罪見除之果、在於使壇石糜爛如灰、木偶日像、不復樹立、

即在主藉公義之靈、燬滅之靈、滌錫安女之污、洗耶路撒冷之血時也、

燬耶和華室與王宮、及耶路撒冷諸室、所有第宅、悉焚以火、

毀爾地之城邑、傾爾諸保障、絕爾中之巫術、俾不復有占卜者、絕爾中之雕像柱像、使爾不復拜己手所造之物、拔爾中之木偶、毀爾諸敵、

耶和華曰、四境之內、三分之二、將見絕滅而亡、三分之一、必得存留、其三分之一、我將使之經火、煉之若銀、煆之若金、彼必呼籲我名、而我應之、我則曰、彼為我民、彼則曰、耶和華乃我上帝也、
