論到這城中的房屋和猶大王的宮殿、就是那些被拆毁下來、以抵擋敵人之攻城土堆和刀劍的、永恆主是這麼說的：迦勒底人必來攻城，使這些房屋充滿着人的屍身，就是我發怒氣和烈怒時所擊殺的人；因為我因他們一切的壞事掩面不顧這城。

他們必以恨惡待你，將你一切勞碌得來的拿走，撇下你赤身裸體：你淫亂的下體——你的淫蕩、淫亂——都必露現出來。

那城一切被掠之物、你都要收集在城的廣場上，用火把城和城內一切被掠之物都燒做全燔祭獻與永恆主你的上帝；那城就必須永做廢堆山，不可再建造。

他把永恆主的殿和王的宮室都燒掉，也燒了耶路撒冷一切的房屋，連大幢的房屋都放火燒。

『因此主永恆主這麼說：有禍啊這流人血的城，這有垢渣在裏面的鍋！其垢渣從未刮出；須要一塊一塊取出來；不必拈鬮挑選。

我必在你身上發洩我的妒憤，使他們以烈怒來辦你。他們必去掉你的鼻子和耳朵；你餘留下的人必倒斃於刀下；他們必將你的兒女擄去；你所餘留下的必給火燒燬掉。
