你這荒涼的城啊！你在做什麽？縱然你穿上紅袍，戴上金飾，描眉畫眼，又有什麼用呢？你的情人藐視你，要殺害你。

耶戶去了耶斯列。耶洗別聞訊，便梳頭描眉，向窗外眺望。

這樣，你戴的是金銀首飾，穿的是綾羅綢緞，吃的是細麵粉、蜂蜜和油。你變得美豔絕倫，晉升為王后。你的美貌名揚四方，因為我給你的華貴使你美貌無比。這是主耶和華說的。「『你卻仗著自己的美貌和名聲縱情淫亂，與所有過路的人苟合。你用自己的衣服在拜偶像的地方結彩，在那裡行淫。這樣的事真是空前絕後！

你們帶著橄欖油和許多香料去拜假神，差遣使者到遠方，甚至去陰間尋找神明。

到那日，主必拿去她們美麗的腳鐲、髮飾、項鏈、耳環、手鐲、面紗、頭飾、腳鏈、彩帶、香盒、護身符、戒指、鼻環、禮服、外袍、披肩、錢包、鏡子、內衣、頭巾和圍巾。

看啊！一個妓女打扮、心術不正的女子出來迎接他。

你要梳洗打扮、抹上香膏、換件衣服，然後去麥場，但不要讓他認出你是誰。等他吃飽喝足，

每個女子依次晉見亞哈隨魯王之前，都要照規矩潔淨十二個月：六個月用沒藥油，六個月用香料和潔身用品。
