On the very day they sacrificed their children to their idols, they entered my sanctuary and desecrated it. That is what they did in my house.

他又在耶和華的殿內建造祭壇，耶和華曾指著這殿說：“我要立我的名在耶路撒冷。”

“先知和祭司都不敬虔，甚至在我殿裡我也看見他們的邪惡。”這是耶和華的宣告。

他們面上的表情指證他們的不對；他們像所多瑪一般宣揚自己的罪惡，並不隱瞞；他們有禍了，因為他們自招禍害。

“可是，你們竟然倚靠虛謊無益的話。你們怎可偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、起假誓、向巴力燒香，跟從你們素不認識的別神，然後來到這稱為我名下的殿，站在我面前，說：‘我們安全啦！’你們這樣就可以行這一切可憎的事嗎？這稱為我名下的殿，難道在你們眼中看為賊窩嗎？但我都看見了。”這是耶和華的宣告。

“我所愛的既然行了罪大惡極的事，還有甚麼資格在我的殿裡呢？難道祭肉可以消除你的災禍，使你得著歡樂嗎？”

此外，同一天，她們還向我作了這事，就是玷污我的聖所，又褻瀆我的安息日。

城中的首領為賄賂而審判，祭司為薪俸而教導，先知為銀子說默示，他們竟倚靠耶和華，說：“耶和華不是在我們中間嗎？災禍必不會臨到我們身上。”

他又在耶和華的殿中築壇，耶和華曾經指著這殿說：“我的名必永遠留在耶路撒冷。”瑪拿西在耶和華殿的兩院中，為天上的萬象築壇，並且在欣嫩子谷把自己的兒女用火燒為祭，又占卜、行邪術、用法術、交鬼和通靈；作了很多耶和華看為惡的事，惹他發怒。他又把他所做的雕像立在神的殿中，神曾經指著這殿，對大衛和他的兒子所羅門說：“我要在這殿裡，和在我從以色列各支派中揀選的耶路撒冷中，立我的名，直到永遠。

清早的時候，猶太人把耶穌從該亞法那裡押往總督的官邸。他們自己沒有進到官邸裡去，恐怕沾染了污穢，不能吃逾越節的晚餐。
