And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.’

And I will judge you as women who break wedlock or shed blood are judged; I will bring blood upon you in fury and jealousy.

“ Now, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Yes, show her all her abominations!Then say,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ The city sheds blood in her own midst, that her time may come; and she makes idols within herself to defile herself.You have become guilty by the blood which you have shed, and have defiled yourself with the idols which you have made. ‘ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Woe to the bloody city, To the pot whose scum is in it, And whose scum is not gone from it! Bring it out piece by piece, On which no lot has fallen.For her blood is in her midst; She set it on top of a rock; She did not pour it on the ground, To cover it with dust.That it may raise up fury and take vengeance, I have set her blood on top of a rock, That it may not be covered.”‘ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Woe to the bloody city! I too will make the pyre great.

By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed.

Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know,

You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way; for every abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.
