他們築了陀斐特的邱壇、就是那在欣嫩子平谷中的，去用火焚燒自己的兒女：這並不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心裏所起意過的。

因他們使一切首開母胎的孩子經過火而獻為祭，我就用他們這些祭獻來玷污他們，使他們驚駭；為要使他們知道我乃是永恆主。

不可將你的後裔燒獻為祭給摩洛；也不可褻瀆你的上帝的名；我是永恆主。

永恆主開始同何西阿講話，對何西阿說：『你去，娶淫婦為妻，收取淫亂生的兒女；因為這地大行淫亂、離棄了永恆主。』

又因瑪拿西所流無辜的血；他使無辜的血充滿了耶路撒冷；永恆主不情願赦免。

『你要對以色列人說：凡以色列人、和在以色列中寄居的外僑、將自己的後裔獻給摩洛的、總必須被處死；這地的人要扔石頭把他砍死。我也要向那人板着臉，把他從他的族人中剪除掉，因為他把他的後裔獻給摩洛，使我的聖所蒙不潔，並且褻瀆我的聖名。人把他的後裔獻給摩洛，這地的人若掩目不看，不把他處死，我就要向那人和他的家板着臉，把他和一切隨從他變節的、就是變節去服事摩洛的人、都從他的族人中剪除掉。

『人子啊，你要審問這流人血的城麼？要審問麼？你要使她知道她一切可厭惡的事。你要說，主永恆主這麼說：哀啊，一座流人血的城！她流人血，使她的時候來到；她又為自己造了偶像去玷污自己。因你所流之人的血、你就有了罪責；又因你所造的偶像，你就玷污了自己，使你的日子臨近，你年歲的定期來到；故此我使你成了列國辱罵的對象，成了列邦所譏誚的。

『因此主永恆主這麼說：有禍啊這流人血的城，這有垢渣在裏面的鍋！其垢渣從未刮出；須要一塊一塊取出來；不必拈鬮挑選。因為她所殺人流的血還在城中；她是將血潑在光溜溜的磐石上，不是倒在地上，用塵土去掩蓋的。為了要激起我的烈怒、好施行報應，我就將她所殺人流的血處置在光溜溜的磐石上、而不掩蓋着。因此主永恆主這麼說：有禍啊這流人血的城！我，我也要加大柴堆，

只有起假誓，謊騙、殺害、偷盜、姦淫、兇暴、殺人流血接着殺人流血。

怎麼啦！你們偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、起假誓、燻祭獻給巴力，隨從素不認識之別的神，

你向永恆主你的上帝可不要這樣行，因為他們向他們的神行了永恆主所恨惡一切可厭惡的事，甚至將他們的兒女燒在火中、去獻給他們的神。

以人血建造錫安，以罪孽建築耶路撒冷的。

永恆主對我說：『你再去、愛這婦人，她情人所愛、又是淫婦的；好像永恆主愛以色列人；雖然他們偏向別的神，喜愛葡萄餅，永恆主還是愛他們。』
