for they have committed adultery and blood is on their hands. They committed adultery with their idols; they even sacrificed their children, whom they bore to me, as food for them.

They have committed adultery. Their hands are covered with the blood of the people they have murdered. They have worshiped other gods. They have not been faithful to me. They have even sacrificed their children as food to other gods. Those children belonged to me.

For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. With their idols they have committed adultery, and they have even offered up to them for food the children whom they had borne to me.

They have committed both adultery and murder— adultery by worshiping idols and murder by burning as sacrifices the children they bore to me.

主耶和華這樣說：因為你的情慾傾注出來，你與你的愛人行淫，露出你的下體，又因為你拜一切可憎的偶像，流兒女的血，把血獻給偶像，

你更把你的兒女，就是你給我所生的兒女，獻給它們作食物；你所行的淫亂還算是小事嗎？你竟宰殺了我的兒女，使他們經火，獻給它們。

“他們在欣嫩子谷中，建造了陀斐特的邱壇，用火焚燒自己的兒女；這不是我吩咐的，我也沒有在心裡想過。

他們使所有頭生的都經火作供物，所以我讓他們玷污自己，好叫他們驚惶，知道我是耶和華。’

他們在欣嫩子谷中，建造了巴力的邱壇，使自己的兒女經火獻給摩洛。這不是我吩咐的，也沒有在我心裡想過；他們竟行了這可憎惡的事，使猶大犯罪。’

我要審判你，像審判行姦淫和流人血的婦人一樣；我要因我的烈怒和妒忿，使流人血的罪歸在你身上。

他們又把兒女用火燒為祭，並且占卜，行法術，出賣自己去行耶和華看為惡的事，使他發怒。

她們宰殺了自己的兒女獻給偶像，同一天又進了我的聖所，把聖所褻瀆。這就是她們在我殿中所行的。

你實在是你母親的女兒，她厭棄自己的丈夫和兒女；你實在是你姊妹的姊妹，她們厭棄她們的丈夫和兒女；你們的母親是赫人，你們的父親是亞摩利人。

所以你們張開雙手的時候，我必掩眼不看你們；即使你們多多禱告，我也不聽；你們的手都沾滿血腥。

你這淫亂的妻子啊！你竟接外人而不接自己的丈夫。

耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷，你殺害先知，又用石頭把奉派到你那裡的人打死。我多次想招聚你的兒女，好像母雞招聚小雞到翅膀底下，只是你們不願意。

你們奉上供物，使你們的兒子經火，用你們的一切偶像玷污自己，直到今日。以色列家啊，我怎能讓你們向我求問呢？主耶和華說：我指著我的永生起誓：我決不讓你們向我求問。這是主耶和華的宣告。

然而必有義人判她們受淫婦和流人血的婦人所受的刑罰，因為她們是淫婦，她們手中染血。

你不可把你的子孫獻給摩洛，也不可褻瀆你神的名；我是耶和華。

耶和華初次藉著何西阿說話。耶和華對何西阿說：“你去娶一個像娼妓一樣的女人，生養像娼妓一樣的兒女，因為這地盛行淫亂，離開了耶和華。”

又因著他所流無辜人的血，他使耶路撒冷滿了無辜人的血，耶和華決不赦免。

“你要對以色列人說：任何以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的兒子獻給摩洛，必要把他處死；本地的人要用石頭把他打死。我也要向那人變臉，把他從他的族人中剪除，因為他把自己的兒子獻給摩洛，玷污了我的聖所，褻瀆了我的聖名。如果有人把他的兒子獻給摩洛，而本地的人掩目不看，不把他處死，我就要向那人和他的家族變臉，把他和所有跟隨他與摩洛行邪淫的人，都從他們的族人中剪除。

“人子啊，你要審判嗎？你要審判這流人血的城嗎？你要使這城知道它一切可憎的事。你要說：‘主耶和華這樣說：這城中有流人血的事，它製造偶像，玷污自己，以致它受審判的時候來到。因你流了人的血，你就有罪了；因你做了偶像，你就玷污了自己；這樣，你使你受罰的日子臨近，遭報的年日來到，我使你成為列國辱罵、列邦譏笑的對象。

“‘因此，主耶和華這樣說：流人血的城，就是長鏽的鍋，有禍了！它的鏽未曾除掉，要把鍋裡的東西一塊一塊取出來，不必為它們抽籤。因為她所流的血還在城中；她把血潑在光滑的磐石上，不是倒在地上，被塵土掩蓋。我為了發烈怒，好施行報應，就把她的血倒在光滑的磐石上，以致不得掩蓋。因此，主耶和華這樣說：流人血的城，有禍了！我也必把柴堆加大。

只有起假誓、撒謊、殘殺、偷盜、姦淫、行強暴，以至流人血事件相繼而來。

你們怎可偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、起假誓、向巴力燒香，跟從你們素不認識的別神，

你不可向耶和華你的神這樣行，因為耶和華恨惡的一切可厭惡的事，他們都向他們的神行了，甚至把自己的兒女用火焚燒，獻給他們的神。

用人血建錫安，以罪孽造耶路撒冷。

耶和華對我說：“你再去愛一個婦人，這婦人是為情人所愛，又是個淫婦，就像耶和華愛以色列人，雖然他們轉去跟隨別神，喜愛葡萄餅。”

他們把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔。他們流了無辜人的血，就是他們自己兒女的血，把他們祭祀迦南的偶像；那地就被血污穢了。

他又把他的兒子用火燒為祭（“把他的兒子用火燒為祭”直譯是“使他的兒子經過進入火中”），並且算命、觀兆，交鬼和行巫術；多行耶和華看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

如果你們不欺壓寄居的，不欺壓孤兒寡婦，不在這地方流無辜人的血，也不跟從別的神，自招禍患；

姊姊的名字是阿荷拉，妹妹的名字是阿荷利巴；她們都嫁了給我，並且生了兒女。論到她們的名字，阿荷拉就是撒瑪利亞，阿荷利巴就是耶路撒冷。“阿荷拉嫁了我以後仍行邪淫，戀慕她的愛人，就是亞述的戰士。
