昔窺拉億之五人、告其同儕、曰、在此室有公服、偶像鑄金、雕刻之形、爾知之乎。今當自思、如何以行。

曰我所作之上帝像、所任之祭司、爾攜之去、不遺一物、反問我何為耶。

以色列族無王公、無祭祀、無公服、不奉雕柱、不事偶像、

摩押、米田長老、攜卜筮之值、往見巴蘭、以巴勒之言告之。

民視王言若天言、聽訟之時、不可差謬。
