我必使拉巴成為駱駝的場所，使亞捫人之地變做羊羣的躺臥處；你們就知道我乃是永恆主。

利乏音人所遺留的人只剩下巴珊王噩；看哪，他的棺材是個黑礦石頭的棺材；長九肘，寬四肘；按人肘的尺寸；現今豈不是在亞捫人的拉巴麼？）

倚靠永恆主的好像錫安山、總不搖動。耶路撒冷永遠坐鎮着，有眾山圍護着她；永恆主也圍護着他的人民、從今時直到永遠。

你們周游錫安，四圍環繞它，數數它的譙樓，注意看它的外郭，視察它的宮堡，以便傳述到後代，

約押攻打亞捫人的拉巴，攻取了王城。

你們數點耶路撒冷的房屋，將房屋拆毁，使城牆鞏固而不可扳；

希西家奮勇自強，修造了所有被拆破的城牆，又在牆上起譙樓，在城外另造一道牆；他加強大衛城的米羅，製造了許多兵器盾牌。

此後瑪拿西在大衛城外，從谿谷中基訓西邊、直到魚門口、建造一道城牆，繞着俄斐勒，把它造得極高；又在猶大各堡壘城安置將軍。

大衛住在營寨裏，把營寨叫做大衛城；大衛又從米羅向聖殿方面往裏、周圍築牆。

烏西雅在耶路撒冷的角門、谷門、和城牆的拐角處建造了譙樓，並且將譙樓防守得很堅固。

地上的王和世界上的居民都不信敵人和仇敵能進耶路撒冷的城門。
